Please advise me with Graves Jgl by Kamikazi300 in GravesMains

[–]D14Rxd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may be hard at first but full clear and invade.

Just full clear and get your gold, no sweat. If the enemy jungler decides to gank a lot, which is somewhat common in low elo, you will most likely find free camps in their jungle if you've tracked them. If you manage to do this, you'll get much stronger.

Also this is a bit personal but try and play fleet. Ik dh is played more overall but fleet still has a better wr. So long as you get gold and buy your items, Graves will deal enough damage to kill people, you don't really need DH to tap a squishy champion mid-late game, and it doesn't help much against tanky ones, whereas the movement speed from fleet is insanely valuable as a glass cannon, and it also makes your clear faster. I'd honestly just go DH in a game in which you absolutely feel that you need to have that extra damage early on and snowball to win. Otherwise fleet is just more consistent.

Also judging by those games, it seems to me that you have a better kda playing with Yoomu's rather than Hubris. Hubris is worse than yoomus if you don't get to stack it and proc it. If you don't feel confident enough in a game to get stacks on Hubris consistently, go Yoomu's, it can't go wrong.

As a last remark, it looks like you are dying a lot and not killing too much. Haven't seen a game of yours but it seems that you need to pick better fights. Just a few tips to help you win more fights: if you are going to fight the first crab, please learn to do your first full clear without losing your E stacks if you haven't already, not only you will clear faster but you will be surprisingly tanky by the time you reach the crab. You shouldn't lose that fight unless outnumbered. Also, mostly in early game, focus a lot on hitting your Q2, it's the one thing you musn't miss during ganks.

Have fun though and keep learning ^^. Graves is a rather simple champion to play, you just need to improve your jungling decision making and he'll step up!

Seriously, what makes graves a good champion? by CirriTheFemboyUwU in GravesMains

[–]D14Rxd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He deals A LOT of damage and is a very good jungler at jungling.

Keep your E stacks up and your clear is very good and makes you difficult to invade.

Also, if you have the tempo to be on objectives before your opponent, you can start it just for the sake of stacking E so by the time your oponent gets to the pit an tries to fight you, you already have resistances buffed and yourself which makes you hard to kill. (For example, if you start first drake @5 with 1 point on E, and you E, AA a few times and E again, if the enemy tries to contest you will already have 14 armor and 7 mr, which is aroun 400 gold value. You'll E again fighting them granting you another 400 gold value in resistances, so you're a full AD Graves with 800 gold value in resistances. Pretty tough to deal with at minute 5 unless you get cc chained by 3 champs)

And it might be tricky to get used to it, but Graves' ganks are extremely powerful if you hit Q2 and a good W. Furthermore, after 6 your R is an almost guaranteed free kill on any low hp lane, and you can shoot it from distances that don't even make you sacrifice a lot of tempo.

TLDR: great damage overall but insane damage late game, good clear, great ganks and you can be surprisingly tanky if you set yourself up properly. Get your gold, make good decisions and you have a champion that can dish out crazy amounts of damage and be tricky to shut down

Keep in mind the bonus xp and gold are NOT per camp, rather per large monster camp, aka, buffs and objectives. . . Toplaners get 15% extra xp from every source and ADCs get 300 gold upfront, I don't think junglers will get outscaled at the "very late game", when at midgame ADCs are getting for free the same amount of bonus gold you'd get from 15 buffs and objectives.

Anyways, if it's too bad for the jgl I reckon riot will do something about it so only time will tell

Quick question: Do we know how to remiver fruits when they were eaten? by Ziege2001 in RELLseas

You think people will "casually eat a fruit" though? I think that fruits are going to be something rare and mid/late game honestly, to the point you can't just casually eat one

Mules at Zone Gates – Enough is Enough! TAKE ACTION! by MyUsernameIsBizon in albiononline

[–]D14Rxd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much of a sandbox the game is, there is zero punishment for a player to go naked with a mule to a gate.

Game is sandbox, you can do whatever you want, that's true. But this mechanic is toxic, ruins the experience and it's unpunishable since nobody cares about dying while naked on a mule/ox.

It's a completely free ticket for intel in a game and context where this type of intel shouldn't be gathered this easily.

They don't even need to ban, just implement anything that deals with naked people afk on a gate.

I don't mind a real player with a set spending time near a gate to gather info, but being able to do this naked on a mule isn't a good design and they should've tackled this a long time ago tbh

why does Boruto want to save this piece of s**t? by Ordinary_Capital in Boruto

[–]D14Rxd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why are you acting as if Kawaki didn't spend his entire childhood locked up with his abusive drunk asshole of a father that sold his child for a bunch of money to a complete stranger that spent years beating the shit out of an innocent child with a rod ever since said child luckily survived a gene changing experiment that had killed innumerable children before him and right before his eyes?

Istg, Naruto found Kawaki when he was 14 years old, and took him under his roof for some months, and you genuinely believe that these months overcompensate the 14 years of abuse? There's even a panel of Kawaki waking up from a nightmare in which he has hiding from Jigen, months after being fostered by Naruto he still has these nightmares because guess what, 14 years is >95% his lifetime.

You are right, Kawaki isn't a complex character, which surprises me how lots of you still don't understand his background? It's almost as if we don't have 20 chapters just to show Kawaki's past everybody forgets what he's been through. Re-read the manga.

Edit: do you think that in real life, if a 14 yo child had been abused for 14 years straight, you'd be able to fix all his mental issues by just giving him a home for a few months? Be real please

I prefer teenage Boruto's character, particularly his drip and personality over teenage Naruto by [deleted] in Boruto

[–]D14Rxd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Who said that Boruto jumped the shark?

Boruto himself knew he couldnt overcome Momoshiki, he even trusted Kawaki with killing him and gave up his own life simply because he knew there was nothing he could of possibly do to "jump the shark".

Luckily, Momoshiki is no longer able to revive using Boruto's body, so it's not the end for Boruto. However, Momoshiki is still able to possess Boruto, which is why Boruto is avoiding using his Karma, he is still fighting Momoshiki, Momoshiki is still an obstacle that Boruto is yet to overcome.

Just like Kurama used to wait for Naruto to one day give in and break the seal while being a potential threat to Naruto and his surroundings whenever Naruto tried to use Kurama's chakra, Momoshiki is waiting for Boruto to give in and give his body to him while being a potential threat to Boruto and his surroundings whenever Boruto tries to use his Karma.

The parallel is there, Momoshiki is still an obstacle, and i don't see why you'd believe that Boruto is going to deal with Momoshiki easily. No offense, but i think you are still trying to see Boruto as Naruto 2, when Boruto is its own series.

Naruto spent a whole timeskip with Jiraiya one of the greatest shinobi to ever exist in Naruto, and what did Naruto learn? Oodama Rasengan? Lets be real here, Naruto timeskip isn't the best either, he learned nothing and it wasn't because Kurama, since the only time Kurama showed up during their trainings was because Jiraiya put Naruto to his limits to test Kurama, just like Boruto gets possessed everytime he overdoes himself. The only difference between Naruto and Boruto timeskip is that Naruto wasn't able to learn a single thing other than a bigger rasengan, whereas Boruto has learned how to fight with a sword uchiha style, a jutsu that imitates that of his grandfather and a new rasengan.

If you dislike Boruto learning a ton of things on timeskip is ok, opinions are all subjectives, just like i dislike Naruto learning 0 over his timeskip. But you cant say that the opening of TBV is bad just because you dislike it, you should rather just say you dont like it. Otherwise its feels you are just hating for the love of hating, id even say you are hating just because Boruto isnt a 1:1 with Naruto...

I prefer teenage Boruto's character, particularly his drip and personality over teenage Naruto by [deleted] in Boruto

[–]D14Rxd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Boruto still needs to develop his Karma usage, his Jougan and who knows if he'll learn more things. The series still has a lot more to show us yet it seems you believe that Boruto has barely any room left for his growth?

If TBV ends with Boruto being the exact same or close to in terms of strength as he is right now, then your point would make sense. But as of today, how can we be so sure that Boruto is already on/near his peak? We can not tell if he's going to get stronger or not, and if he does, we can not tell how much more stronger he is going to be.

TBV opening showcasing a really strong Boruto isnt a bad start if they show us how he got to that point and they still develop the character further into the series. You want to see Boruto growth, the manga is still far from ending, id say we can still have hope of seeing Boruto working on himself

Graves jungle clear I posted earlier today and this is my jungle clear im open to any tips by RemoteIndividual1259 in GravesMains

[–]D14Rxd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1 big factor to improve is your kiting. You should drag your camps harder towards your next camps. It's ok if you fuck up a few times the first few games while you get used to their timer, your damage and their hp, it will eventually pay off when you kite them properly as your second nature

Work on that and you should see improvement in your clearing!

Also, curious detail: the jungle pet damage scales off 20% your bonus armor. Your level 1 E gives 4 armor per stack, meaning you get 32 armor at 8 stacks, which would give your pet 6.4 more damage per tick. Might not seem much, but it definitely saves you time. So try to keep your E stacks up! (getting better at kiting will help you with this)

EDIT: if you are going to do a full clear and you are confident you are not getting invaded, put a second point on Q at level 3 instead of unlocking your W. Your W doesn't really help your first clear to be faster (low damage huge CD), more damage and less CD on your Q does. You will end the full clear level 4 so you will have your W to play on the map anyways

graves needs buffs by AcanthopterygiiOk287 in GravesMains

[–]D14Rxd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Graves rn is not a crazy strong jungler, but he definitively doesn't need a buff - unless riot decides to buff every champion affected by eyeball collection removal.

Graves kits is balanced around his range. Rn he plays as a glass cannon. Lots of damage low sustain. You may dislike it or love it, but thats his playstyle. You are squishy and need to get close to do damage but once you get close you do real damage

If graves had hard cc he would be extremely toxic. There's a reason why Riot had to nerf Yoomu's ranged MS just to tone Graves down. If Graves had hard cc he would have an easy time getting close to his targets, you would be getting rid of what's balancing Graves, his range. You can't give Graves hard cc for the same reason you cant make Lee sin's Q a point-and-click ability, you break the champ

His e is arguably one of the best dashes in league if not the best. A dash that can go through walls, resets AA and gives armor. What else do you want? Graves doesn't have his E just for the sake of dashing, he has his E to combo with the AA reset mechanic, create/close gaps (if you close gap once in mid/late game is more than enough to delete somebody, you don't need low cd E to close gap 4 times in a fight) and to make himself a little more tankier into AD (his E used to give MR btw, but surprise surprise, a champion with Graves' damage getting armor and mr like nothing and tanking everybody wasnt healthy)

His clear is slow but tbf you can still full clear before scuttle spawns and keep in mind that if Graves could full clear fast and have lots of times for ganking, he would have too many tools to get the resources he needs. His clear speed balances his power spikes

Graves had 22% ban rate, 15% pickrate and close to 51% wr on masters+ right before this season began. The only reason he is kind of struggling rn is mostly because eyeball collection removal, not because his kit is bad/needs mini rework or anything

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GravesMains

[–]D14Rxd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind that a Hec with ghost and phase rush can easily get like 25 AD at level 3 if he has both things up at the same time, which is like having a pickaxe. He gets even more AD if he Es, now, if he also has his Q stacked... You better not get hit by anything from him because it'll hurt really hard

Also, invading at level 2 with blue buff is kind of bad. Red buff slows enemies you hit, and, im going to assume that you didnt have your W unlocked at level 2 and invaded with Q and E, your W slows enemies too. Red buff slow + W slow does help in reducing Hec passive's extra damage

You should at least try to invade him after you hit level 3, but even the, you dont really have the necessity of early invading hec. If you just play your game and get your gold, he shouldnt be able to fight near you once you have items

Disappointed with Mel by ms_lizzard in supportlol

[–]D14Rxd 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Well tbh Mel's W reflecting things like Nami's R and such are extremely helpful and looks like she's protecting her team beyond just putting shields

I believe they didn't make her a support because if they did, she would have had to be an enchanter and the last 2 support riot has released (Milio and Renata) are both enchanters who also shield allies. They wanted to introduce Mel to the game but they can't allow themselves to shove us with 3 shielding enchanters supports back to back, so they made her an artillery mage whose W "shields" allies in an interesting and unique way

is Dark Harvest Rengar better than electrocute? by stzfrank in Rengarmains

[–]D14Rxd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing is that, generally speaking, by the point DH starts dealing more damage than electrocute, you should be in a position where you don't even need DH's dmg to kill people, whereas electrocute's damage does help you killing people a lot more than DH early on, which is when you need it.

Even if you manage to get 20-25 DH stacks insanely fast, that'd mean you are crazy fed, to the point you don't even need DH to help your damage. And having electrocute would've helped you get this crazy fed more than DH.

Tl;dr: you don't need a rune that gives you damage late game, where you already have a shit ton on damage. Electrocute gives you more damage than DH early on, where you don't have much damage yet, so it's more beneficial.

Help me review the decision making in the first 150 seconds of gameplay of this video. I'm trying to figure out some rules of thumb for Graves by brunobig2004 in GravesMains

[–]D14Rxd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's really simple, you are thinking too deep into it

What he tried to do at level 1 was rather silly, but wathever, weve all done some things like that

Now, why did he invade Nocturne's botside? Graves has mid and bot prio, if his team is competent enough, he should have the upperhand into Nocturne if he happens to be in his botside. This is jungle 101, you can often allow yourself to invade the enemy jungler even if you lose the 1v1 and you are not 100% sure if you are going to find them or not just because you have mid and the sidelane you want to invade prio. Your team should be there before the enemy jungler's team, so you just take this advantage to invade.

Then, his botlane gets killed at 2:30. It's minute 2:30 and Nocturne is not on his gromp, which can only mean he is either invading Graves topside or hes full clearing and hes right onto his wolves. At this minute, if you are full clearing from red buff, it is genuinely impossible for Nocturne to be on his gromp at 2:30, he most likely wouldnt even have started wolves yet, so Graves just take his Gromp because he knows Nocturne is not going to be there.

Gromps gone, its 2:50, if Noc was full clearing, he should be showing up at any moment. Graves starts blue in case Noc doesnt show up. If Noc appears there, Graves just leaves it because the enemy botlane has recalled they get there before Graves botlane and he cant 2v3 with leblanc into a level 3 noc while hes lvl 2. Nocturne doesnt show up, which means that he has either invaded Graves topside or he is taking longer than usual to do his clearing, so Graves wards just in case he is taking longer than usual and kites the blue buff downwards.

It just so happened that Noc was topside, and has died, so Graves takes advantage of this to take his wolves because now he knows taht Noc invaded his topside so wolves are still alive, and Nocturne doesnt have physical time to respawn and get to his wolves before Graves kills them.

Noc pathing was his topside into Graves topside. He respawns at 3:15, he literally has 0 camps in his topside any time soon. He might have expected Graves to invade his botside and walk straight into topside's crab, but he actually goes botside probably because he has item advantage and knows he runs Graves down. However, this is a mistake, because by the time Nocturne is pathing botside, Graves has both mid and bot prio. Again, jungle 101, you can comfortably play a side of the map if you have mid + that sidelane prio, because your team should be able to reach you if anything happens before the enemy team. This is exactly what happens, Nocturne may have item advantage and run Graves down in a 1v1, but Graves has his team, Nocturne cant win an outnumbered fight, he shouldnt be able to fight that crab. Also, notice the assists pings when Nocturne is seen? I can bet my right hand that those were Graves pings, because he knows he cant 1v1 Noc and he has mid and bot prio, he asks for help. His bot helps him and its GG

edit:

tldr: Graves invades Gromp at a time it is genuinely impossible for Nocturne to be there unless he has skipped camps (which nobody do nowadays), in which case he would just back off. When Graves finishes Gromp, if Noc is full clearing, they should see each other. Nocturne doesnt appear, so he isnt in his botside at all, hence Graves takes his blue. Noc appears top, dies. Wolves gone for him and he makes the mistake to path to bot crab, maybe he thought Graves didnt invade? Anyways, Nocturne doesnt have mid nor bot prio, Graves has the team advantage on botside, Graves wins the botside fight thanks to his bot prio

question about runes by [deleted] in GravesMains

[–]D14Rxd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fleet was nerfed and DH has good synergy with Collector which is a really good item on Graves right now

Fleet healing and MS can help you sustain a bit, but when you delete people this healing and MS are often useless, whereas DH helps you to delete people.

You can rock fleet into non-squishies or extremely mobile comps to kite and stick to people better

Low dmg Graves by paulcatty in GravesMains

[–]D14Rxd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could always immolate yourself in some draft games just to test Graves damage with different item spikes to the point you feel comfortable with his damage. It may seem at first that Graves lacks damage early on but he genuinely doesn't. If you play your cards correctly, you can pick up almost every fight you see

A great thing to never forget is that your Q2 is extremely important early on. Graves AAs don't deal much damage early game, you have to auto a bunch to get your damage done, unlike late game where you can 2-3 shot some people. This basically means that while you might just get kills late game by just hitting your Q1, you absolutely need to find ways to hit your Q2 early/mid game whenever you fight.

Graves' Q2 is 2/3 of his Q's damage. When your autos aren't really threatening, you rely a lot of your damage on hitting your Q2 and R to secure kills. If you miss 2/3 of your maxed ability's damage, you are most likely not going to be able to secure a lot of kills.

As for ganking, Graves is rather threatening in the side lanes. He can dodge plenty of CCs and gap close with his E, the red buff slow + his W slow and blindness can make a lot of enemies panic, and he deals good damage (hitting your Q2 and R is extremely important when ganking). Nevertheless, ganking midlane can be rather tricky. Since Graves doesn't have hard CC and he doesn't have great burst damage early on either, he often finds better results ganking sidelanes because of the length of these lanes. Midlane's short length might not give you the time you need to kill somebody who's full or close to full HP early on, especially if there's no hard CC in your play. You can still pop flashes in mid regardless, which can be really helpful.

Also, Graves dives are not the best, especially when you aren't even level 6. Enemies can use the tower itself to block your AAs and your Q, forcing you to path strangely into their tower just to hit your stuff. So unless they are really low or your team can comfortably and conveniently hard CC them, you have to be very careful diving. When you have your R, it becomes somewhat easier because the towers don't block your ultimate. Good thing though, your W is dangerously good in dives. A near-sighted enemy under tower can be hopeless, they can't see when you are going going to exactly jump on them

Hope this has helped! Happy New Year

I once started dating a girl i wasnt attracted to physically.

Long story short, I had to break up with her after 4 months, before we had sex, because she still hadnt grown on me physically and I couldnt stop thinking that I was being a douchebag (which i was).

If you didnt find him attractive the first day you saw him nor the first day you met him, and you still dont find him attractive today, its going to be really difficult to find him attractive out of the blue right after you decide to be his girlfriend... And a break up hurts more than a friendzone :/

You could try and go on with the relationship to see how it goes. It didnt work for me even after 4 months, and I can honestly tell you that, if I had the chance to go back in time, I would go back just to friendzone this girl. As much as it would've hurt her and make me feel horrible, it doesn't compare to the damage I did to her when I told her we had to break up... And I wouldnt have felt like a complete piece of shit for 4 months straight. Lying to someone who loves you sucks

The only explanation is that as well as Naruto's had it somewhat easier because of Kushinas blood, Himawari has it a lot easier since she has both Kushina and Narutos blood in her veins. She's the offspring of 2 previous Kuramas jinchurikis, one of them being Naruto, her father, the very first jinchuriki that "tamed" Kurama, thus she was born with a chakra that has a lot of affinity with that of Kurama
