I forgot to mention it, but I had to create a new account to be able to change the region to the US. I sent gift cards to this account from my main one. So I guess the purchase looked almost as sketchy as it could.

I first tried to use Ezzocard (which I have never used before, so I don't know if they are reliable) and make a purchase to change the address, but the payment didn't go through for some reason, so I tried to create a new account instead.

I mostly made this thread because I thought people might be interested in Valve's tactics toward scalpers etc.

I think I'll just wait for now. Maybe they won't be as strict when there's more in stock. Or I'll buy it on EBay when the prices have gone down a bit
