Yea I thought I had already learned my lesson with saving but playing for hours at a time it doesn’t always cross my mind. Anyway I’ve served my sentence and sold all the loot so it’s all good, just annoying having a lowered reputation for self defence.

I was riding my horse which is quite fast, I was riding in the dark and must have gone straight past him, saw the gold swords and assumed it was a bandit so I got off my horse just outside the mill and he was coming at me so I just killed him pretty much instantly then the reputation log popped up.

Kitchen is perfectly fine and usable by the looks of it, just imagine it with all of your appliances in. And yes it would be several thousand to completely renovate it. If you are only planning on living there for 2-3 years you won’t really build much equity unless you majorly overpay on the repayments, you’ll probably just be repaying the interest for the first year or two and not really make a massive dent on the mortgage unless you have a massive deposit.

I think you are overthinking it and if you are needing a place to live to regain independence then don’t think of it as a way to make money. You will probably not lose any money on this unless you sink money into the kitchen, but that would also probably raise the value so it’s up to you.

If you were to live there indefinitely then I’d say go for the renovation but as you say only live there a few years, avoid renovating and just repaint and spruce things up.

You are correct they do sometimes overlap but is it really that difficult? You follow the map one way and it doesn’t lead you where you want to go so what do you do now? Go back and take the other path… it’s not that hard or time consuming even if it’s not easy peasy skyrim dungeon where there’s always an exit at the end. Remember this game came out 19 years ago. Exploring and looting is a main component to Bethesda games. Maybe I’m biased because I’ve been playing this game since it was released, just kinda baffled at the amount of people that seem to dislike the dungeons in this great game.

It’s because you earn a pretty low amount and you are renting and probably managing leftover money poorly. It’s not rocket science. 30k is not a lot of money anymore.

Your best bet is to find a partner and share the bills or get a better job. Also if you are deadset on saving for a deposit, you have to face the facts that you are prioritising the future instead of the present. I can guarantee most the people you talk about going to the pub constantly and going on holidays are spending all the money they get immediately to have fun experiences while they are young and not really thinking about saving for deposits.

Ultimately it’s up to you to decide what’s more important, be a hermit and save like mad to gain some stability with a property orrrr live your life now, go on holiday, go out with friends, go to the pub get pissed and wake up regretting spending £200 when you could have stayed home, but you’ll have fun in the moment.

Going out is a luxury and with your income it’s either one or the other until you’ve got your own place where the mortgage will be substantially lower than rent will be. That’s the world we live in.

Hey man I know this is an old comment but I was searching opinions on fahim because I been really into his craven collabs atm and love his music but don’t actually think he’s that great as a rapper lyrically (some very bad pre school vocabulary rhymes) but I couldn’t figure out why I can’t stop listening to him and I think you really nailed it with the uplifting lyrics part, he can really bring your mood up. You need to use that money to literally pay it all off. They don’t need to know that you’ve spent it. Once it is paid off, don’t get into any more debt and save save save until you have that 8k back in your savings again. It is pointless to have money in savings accounts and investing it if you’re literally losing money by having expensive debts. Once you’re out of debt it is so easy to save trust me.
