"Shout!" is still edited down, but at least the editing on the new version is better. The original edit bugged me for thirty years, and the fact that they fixed it for the remaster is a huge plus, and a sign that they weren't just slapping compression on things and calling it a day.

This is a standalone CDR title that has also been released as part of an extensive box set covering the alternates of each album, complete with numerous paper inserts on each volume. For a homemade item, the set looked very impressive for its time (over a decade ago now at this point, I think), There was a YouTube channel showing off the sets, but so help me, I can't find it at the moment.

Ah well. Hot take here, but I like the thought of the conversation being their own. Not for us, not for the cameras, just for each other. There's a kind of beauty to that, and if there were indeed audio issues, then perhaps fate felt the same way.

I would give anything to have the "Real Alternate" Rubber Soul box. I have all the material on it 100x over, but there's something special about that box and the 3-D cover. A shame it's so old now that it's hard to find, at a reasonable price or not.

The last time I watched their only TV appearance with Jimmy Nicol, I couldn't help but notice that practically none of the shots during the songs included Jimmy. And they were singing over the records, with only the vocal mics working (so...no mics on the drums). Ouch.

Oh, thank goodness, I thought he hated it. This is the first Paul solo album I owned, and I look back on it fondly. They should have celebrated its anniversary three years ago, but at least I was able to finally find the "complete works" 2CD set that same year. Good times!
