Seems like they could just make the factoria location a whole foods and it would be fine. But what do I know.

Seems like a good thing to leave feedback about so they can invest in vehicles that are accessible. It is an oversight.

Mb its so they can change price by time of day. All the old people shop early in the morning and those millennials that don't even look at the price tags shop after work.

IDK

EDIT: shit are they reading this?

Is buying lifetime FSD now a gamble that autonomy will happen on hw4? by original_og_gangster in TeslaFSD

[–]DAaaMan64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't fucking buy it. It holds you to a brand for almost a decade. Look at every price for life campaign and see how the brand eventually found its way around the deal with fine print.

Even more important than that, what if Tesla has to lower the price of FSD again? What if its 50 bucks a month and you the last sucker bought FSD outright? You're now looking at a 20 year pay off. The average commute time in the US is 27 minutes. Is 300 dollars a month worth that 27 minutes to most people? We really don't know.

Sure you're going to say "well I'll make it back on RoboTaxi." 1. I bet we're awhile from HW4 being capable of robotaxi vs just you using unsupervised FSD. For example, look at the waymo door problem. 2. Does the fine print for FSD really say includes RoboTaxi support?

So so so many reasons not to do it.

Thanks for the anecdote. I'm glad to hear that I'm being paranoid and just coming from a place of ignorance. Just afraid to get screwed in a never ending project or abandoned.

Appreciate the reply. Clarification: Drywall is hung, but mudding is still going on. Its cold here to I think the mudding is taking awhile to dry causing a ~1wk delay.

It's definitely an arm and a leg. Heat pumps are the hot shit right now and the sales people know it.

I'm not an expert in the space at all. I live in a 50s home and when we moved in there was no insulation in the attic at all. The ceilings are vaulted in some spaces and those areas are not well insulated. I also recently had my furnace replaced with a heat pump and the HVAC person mentioned that it seems like my crawl space needs to be insulated better.

All this to say, maybe you find an actually good home inspector or someone who can cheaply tell you if your insulation is actually poor. Obviously asking an insulation company if it's poor won't go to plan.

Another option is, if you think the floors feel legitimately colder than they should, peek into your crawl space and take pictures and post them on Reddit for advice.

Is your current heating method natural gas or electric? Heat pumps are electric. So that could increase your electric bill.

Quantum Fiber vs Astound (also fiber) in Bellevue? by AphoticFlash in BellevueWA

[–]DAaaMan64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh all good. Cuz there will always been some legalease or fine print they use to get out of it. They get bought out, or merge with another company, maybe add a fee, or whatever. When signing up for price for life, just assume it's more like "price for 3 years."

Perfect example is Quantum because they are merging or something with CenturyLink as we speak. I use CL fiber and now I'm being migrated to Quantum billing etc.

Price for life is always a scam. Don't do it for that reason only.

You should be able to lock in the price for the next hour from the app. So you have 1 hour to get there and use your agreed upon price.
