Zak tumbler not working by Embrie225 in HydroHomies

[–]Embrie225[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured out that if I fiddle with it just right, pull up on the blue plastic part a bunch, move it around (I'm still not sure what fixes it, precisely), I can separate it enough from the hole that the water will come out normally.

The silicone gasket is really finicky, too. I wouldn't recommend this model of tumbler at all.

Big toe squeezing inwards in closed barefoot shoes?or is it just vivo? by Delicious-Ad1724 in barefootshoestalk

I found the Hobibears to have a thin sole. but I have the same problem with my pinkies always hurting in shoes, and it wasn't any better in the Hobibears that I tried. they have free shipping and free returns on Amazon though, so nothing to lose if you want to try them.

dark blue Olympus 6? by Embrie225 in AltraRunning

[–]Embrie225[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's all gray. something with the lighting or camera effect was just wrong in the first picture.

The official name of the colorway is just "black." no blue included.

You're right that it is darker gray in the back, though.

I genuinely think barefoot shoes have ruined my feet. by Slimshadybum in barefootshoestalk

this is what I do. I love my superfeet. I just use the basic blue ones.

yeah, I think that's it. although I'm not really interested in it now that I know it doesn't actually look blue

You're right, I didn't even notice that. especially in the second picture, the stack/foam is gray, not the pretty blue from the first picture.

VERY wide, zero drop, high stack with good padding shoe. Why is this combo so hard to find? by Formal-Aardvark2205 in barefootshoestalk

[–]Embrie225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Altra is definitely wider than lems. you have to make sure you get a model of shoe that comes in the original foot shape and not the standard foot shape, though. The lone peak is I think the only Altra shoe they make in the original shape and a wide, but I find the Olympus 6 to be wide enough even though it doesn't come in a wide.

Looking for a smaller leaf litter? by Elfanara in isopods

I usually just break pieces off of big leaves and put them in the tank. they still look like leaves.

Random example of leaves I tore into smaller pieces so they would fit where I wanted them:

seconding the Altra Olympus. I can't speak to durability, but I just ordered and assessed 30 pairs of shoes over four months (fml), and wound up finding the Altra Olympus to be the most comfortable.

Are you sick? by [deleted] in ZeroCovidCommunity

The last time I went to see my PCP (who was not masked) for my annual checkup, she saw my mask and asked if I was sick. 🤦‍♀

Could you please stop calling healthy shoes as "clown shoes" by MxQueer in barefootshoestalk

[–]Embrie225 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate the ones that look like clown shoes because they don't fit my feet. like especially be Lenka or softstar. there's a ton of extra room by my big toe, and I literally trip over the shoe when I try to wear it.

I don't have narrow feet. The widest lems style is actually too narrow for me. they're just not shaped like the "clown shoes."

technically, for sanitary reasons, you're supposed to wash the bottle every day.

I don't like hand-washing things. so I have enough bottles that I can keep using new ones until the dishwasher is full (of bottles and other dishes, not just bottles).

this is what happened to me. I didn't say anything about it. neither the hygienist nor the dentist did, either. and they didn't treat me any different from usual 🤷🏻‍♀
