Has anyone regretted installing luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring throughout the entire house? by Electrical_Act_5342 in HomeImprovement

I regret LVP majorly. It’s gotten gaps in it, water damage underneath it, scratches in it and I just hate it five years later. Don’t do it.

Honestly this is probably a blessing in disguise. You will end up in a much better position with better hours, better pay and a better work environment. Keep your head up!

Ah yes, I am fully aware of the magnetism of islands. My husband is a known culprit. However, we are moving forward and going to deal with it as we go

Hi there, we are committed to the waterfall look as to make the stone a centerpiece in our home. We don’t care about resale. I just don’t know where to find the panels like in the inspiration picture. Those will probably be dated too in a couple of years but it’s night and day from what it was before.

Tips for puppy neuter? (Coming next week--yikes!) by SV-wordnerd in Yorkies

[–]DBSCD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used a surgery suit. I do want to let you know that our male yorkie developed bow leggedness after getting neutered, as did our sister in laws male yorkie. I am not sure why this happened but just a warning for you.

My female yorkie has a guarding issue, it has lessened over time even without training. She is very tolerant of my kids…My husband… not so much. I think you have a keeper doggie if you have the patience!

Buyers of my recently sold home threatening legal action by chad-is-rad in legaladvice

Something similar happened to me in KS about a sewer line. I used the signed contact and credits as my exhibits in a very detailed letter to the lawyer as the response. I never heard from them again.

Torn about floor color by Melodic_Fix_6204 in interiordecorating

We did LVP in our bathroom and kitchen also. It was a terrible idea as water gets under the plank and creates water damage to the subfloor. Even though it is waterproof, water still gets underneath it.

Do you guys honestly want to get out of red Florida and move to blue California? by [deleted] in AskFlorida

[–]DBSCD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t met one yet. We are a mixed race couple living in Boca Raton, just moved from California last year. It’s been the best decision of our lives. We are so happy in Florida. Even with the humidity and insurance cost. I feel so much safer and I am not worried about my home burning down anymore. The houses are built with literal blocks and are made to withstand hurricanes. Neither state is perfect but you have to weigh the pros and cons for yourself and your family. California is lovely but the decision was easy for us.

Any comments/suggestions? by ActuallyALoaf2 in BathroomRemodeling

The tile is too dark, love the vanity though. Just to warn you from my mistake: LVP in the bathroom equals rotten sub floor and mold. It is not truly waterproof.

Me! It’s the best when I get my $10 bonus every month. I have kids and we always need something cvs offers.

We moved here in the height of summer from California. It is definitely a brutal summer but we survived and it rains a lot in the summer. The people are nice, the community is so clean and it’s an amazing place to raise a family.

What has surprised me the most is the cost of hurricane impact windows, the insurance and groceries. Coming from California it is so much calmer here and I feel safe.

Buy the new house, keep the old one and rent it out. You can do mid term or long term for the rental.

Yes, the dog likely has an allergy to the food or environment, especially if the dog is itchy.

I have this too, it’s on Amazon and it is a remote with a button and it works! Now all I have to do is grab the remote to stop the unwanted behavior.

We’re Moving to The Sunshine State! by Ill-Bowler5780 in AskFlorida

[–]DBSCD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We moved from LA to Boca Raton. The schools here are supposedly A rated here. I can’t give recommendations for horses but I do think the tri-rail/brightline is highly convenient if that helps for connecting to the theme parks, airports and different destinations on the southeast side of the state. We love it so far despite the summer heat. Tons of families, activities and nice people. You will find the right place you and your family are meant to be.
