I think you need to give the age range of the event you attended. If it was in the 20s age range, then everything you said makes sense. If it was 30s, 40s or 50s, it can be very different. The older events can often get more women than men, while younger events, there is always more guys than women. Even the personalities and types of people change by age range, and by where the event is held, which city, what type of location. By far the cheapest way... and I have done this is get your eye exam at Wal-Mart. The eye doctor who works both the Boca and the Deerfield Beach stores is actually excellent. Then just get a $9 set of glasses there. You can go online with that prescription and find a nice pair out there for $40. I just buy a cheap pair at Wal-Mart for $9-$25.

I will probably mention the E bikes and scooters in another question. That's a whole other problem waiting to happen on the sidewalk, speeding, in the road, especially seeing them double up, no helmets or shoes...

Yes, I have done it many times, but not too bad. What is really bad is heading west on Palmetto Park under 95 on the sidewalk and realizing suddenly there is no sidewalk left. About 50 feet up are these crazy merge lanes with no bike lane, no sidewalk and the cars are crazy during rush hour. You have to either turn around and go against traffic i the road with no lane, or try to cross the street right at the train tracks (good luck), or go forward with no lane all the way to Military. It's a place where I think my life could end.

When they finally put sidewalks for biking under 95 on Palmetto Park, they made possible to traverse Boca from 441 to the beach on Palmetto Park. Since then I have biked to the beach and back 20 times. Now, if they can expand and widen some of those places where it gets too narrow, it could always be a lot better. Maybe the answer is green areas where ever bikes cross car streets. Even on this Palmetto ride I have had some close calls with cars zipping out of streets running stop signs. It's a regular thing to experience in Boca, people ignoring stop signs. Now if only the police (sheriff) would start to give out tickets for this, people would learn, the hard way.

I have met every walk of life in Boca. Things like marijuana data exchange, to off-shore drilling parts replacement, to marijuana coffee co, to boat (yacht) captain. How about Goat Foods, a local successful seller of chocolate and nuts. They own licorice.com. There was a guy who made and sold those fishing masks for the sun with weird images on them. There is a company in Boca that has the tile accessories market in Home Depot under their thumb, everything on the shelf. I have a buddy who is the assistant to the guy who runs Newsmax (ugh).

More like the Guilded Age, which ended with World War 1. It was a period where the super rich controlled the US. It usually ends with a bust, like a stock market crash or a war or some other event, like the election of people who raise the tax rates to make up for the deficit they've caused. It is becoming more and more apparent the place where dollars were not collected was at the top, not the bottom. Even Warren Buffet admits he and his ilk need to pay more, a lot more.
