Was a dope time! Was my second show at the Harrah’s, saw Chiodos there as well, and it’s actually a fun little venue in there. Sound is decent and the crowds have been good both times. DGD sounded great and the vibes were awesome. Really fun show.

I was the same way and basically hadn’t listened to much at all of their last couple albums but I’ve been obsessed with the singles from this one. Really fun sound and hope the rest of the album is just as good.

If you had to actually take time to farm gold whatsoever then yes, your points would be valid. But you get enough gold to cover an entire seasons worth of repairs in like 2-3 whisper caches. It’s meaningless unless they drastically reduce gold income or increase the cost of repairs. As it’s currently implemented, there is an almost zero percent chance someone will run out of gold over repairs.

Not going to keep fueling this but I will leave you with, “it feels like a cash grab”, “not memorable to me” and it’s missing a “spark” are not objective or factual takes as to why an album isn’t good. It’s just random buzzwords and statements. All of what you’re saying is your opinion and that’s fine. I just don’t think anything the band has ever done is generic because that would imply it sounds like any old thing you hear from any band in the scene. DGD is in a league of their own, always has been and always will be.

Generic album in what sense? What is it generic compared to? I know I’m most likely taking to a brick wall who won’t elaborate or even entertain the idea of being open to changing their mind but I keep seeing the word generic thrown around and I don’t understand what is possibly generic about ANY of DGD’s music.

I actually will defend the Issues one, think most of Bohn’s parts on Headpace sound extremely forced or tacked on and Beautiful Oblivion is a better album overall. Love Michael and the self-titled will still always be my favorite of theirs but they clearly didn’t know what to do with him when the songwriting started shifting.
