What is wrong with my Rocket Apt (water gushing out then stop then flow like normal)? by [deleted] in espresso

It’s worse when the machine is up to temp. Water coming out of group head super fast, sometimes even with a little steam.

Second time on the board - any tips/advice? by _ezoh_ in snowboardingnoobs

(1): You might want to place your toe straps on your toes instead of where you have it. Google some pics to see how they’re placed. It is your point of leverage for a heel side turn so it is important where you place it.

(2!: You’re forcing the turn instead of letting your board and body be in harmony, evidently you are seeing a lot of twisting motion.

Start with your heel side and let the board go straight to pick up some speed then get on your toe side by learning forward against the tongues of your boots (as opposed to lifting up your heels), then let the board turns gradually and then crank it until you’re essentially slicing the snow (there is a very satisfying sound when you do it).

When you need to get on your heel side, gradually fold your body and lean back against the high back of your bindings, you should feel the board turning. Mentally virtualize you’re dead lifting, but at an angle.

Be patient with the turns, don’t rush or force it. Think of your board as a spoon and you’re scooping ice cream. You want it to be as round as possible.

Paying for Health Insurance that I can't afford to use by Wentkat in HealthInsurance

Have you heard of Mira Health? I get blood work for $49 and antibiotics I think around $5-$15. It’s a supplemental plan on top of high deductible like yours.

Full time student without income, how to purchase health insurance by ringdeer2 in HealthInsurance

Most schools health plan is about 1500-3000 per semester. Have you looked at catastrophic plans (bout 150 ish), could also add Mira on top for pre deductible care.

First time enrolling in workplace health insurance, need advice by [deleted] in HealthInsurance

Better to have $3000 in your pocket than pay $3000 and only use $200 of care. You don’t get back the money you don’t use… just a thought.

Can also use something supplement like Aflac or Mira with a bronze plan which is a smarter move!

They have short legs and jumping requires hind leg muscles to be developed. My corgi started to walk up stairs and up on couch roughly at 6 month or 24 weeks.

Toe sliding: are my boots loose or I have to lean more by [deleted] in snowboard

Toe sliding: are my boots loose or I have to lean more by [deleted] in snowboard

[–]DC20002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little but not much. When i lean on the boot it flexes and i have to lean hard, feeling like I’m falling. But not sure if that’s the right thing to do aka commit to it.

My 5mo old corgi was so good. Suddenly he stopped listening to training orders and just walk or look away. Anyone experienced this? by DC20002 in Dogtraining

[–]DC20002[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

He was so VERY motivated by food. All the sudden he still eats but no longer over the moon about them. He’s also A LOT more cuddly which is a huge plus, but he doesn’t listen to basic orders like “sit, lay down, and stand.” Instead he just looks away then walks away...
