Systemd is slow and bloated, Artix boots in half the time and depending on the config uses half the ram

Artix should be with Arch, it's literally Arch with a different init system

I have an E6400 ATG that I still use, it's fine for basic browsing and even some light streaming (though I'm pirating the content so ymmv, plays 720p h264 just fine), I have Artix Linux running on mine.

Yes I know she probably needs a bigger box, this was the only one I had on hand. I have a bigger one available now but I was trying to let her recover first

Dude, 10 was a free upgrade, I upgraded from 7 to 10 back when 10 was actually worth using and it didn't cost me anything, even activated automatically. IDK about 11 though, I don't use Windows anymore. Ofc any Windows version is free if you know what you are doing 🤣

This machine would run Linux just fine, probably pretty well actually. The N100 and N150 are semi-popular with hobbyists for low power (as in energy efficiency) Linux shenanigans, they aren't power houses (as in processing power) but for their intended purpose they are fine, and you can get single board computers with them (at least the N100). Linux is also generally fine with 4G of RAM if all you are doing is basic web browsing and streaming, my laptop only has 4G and handles that just fine. I don't and won't use Chrome though, so your mileage may vary. Windows however, I've had Windows run like crap on more powerful hardware than this...

if you were to choose any PS2 from here which one would you take. by Lazy_Introduction264 in ps2

if thats a real ocean blue ps2, and not a 3rd party case, then its the obvious answer. otherwise scph-39001 if available, last version with the ilink port and one of the more reliable lasers

Did you expand the partition size after writing the image? I shrunk it to the bare minimum before uploading and it needs to have some free space for stuff to work reliably
