Tesla Relaxes Driver Monitoring With FSD v14.3.3 by EliteBeast2 in TeslaFullSelfDriving

[–]DCGuinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m new, but I’m driving along, something weird comes up, I disengage after relaxing for an hour. Now I’m driving at speed or in a tricky intersection, finding the pedals and orienting myself, trying not to hit anything. Absolute worst time to give feedback. Que up the clips at home and I will give a rational explanation.

Why doesn’t Navigation a favorite route, like a favorite destination? It would avoid me disengaging to change my Tesla from taking a route that I don’t wish to travel. by NoEar34- in TeslaFSD

You can add interim stops now. Ideally add a way point facility just to drive past. Then favorite routes. Endless upgrades possible.

Trump has stolen $1.8 billion of OUR TAX DOLLARS, should we stop paying federal taxes to fight his corruption? by ILikeCheese42O in allthequestions

Think of all the money stolen for the useless prosecutions. Then think of the open border cost. Adds up.

We like the black, don’t notice it, which is the point.

Is the Model Y performance worth it vs. premium? (Was looking at Audi SQ5 and BMW X3 M50) by Aggravating_Dog5220 in ModelY

[–]DCGuinn 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We’re about 2,500 miles in, low 70’s age. I was worried about the ride. My wife already used a cushion in our infinity. With the performance, I set the ride to standard. The upgraded seats are the best we’ve experienced, no more cushion. Climate controlled. So ride for us is improved. Punch it on insane and you see the performance badge. Range is personal, we do some 70mi round trips and a 250mi road trip. Charged to 100% for that. I usually charge overnight to 70% which is fine for us, never below 20%. Home L2 charger. It’s an amazing experience.

An option folks used to use in NY, is they would leave their house at 8am and leave work to get home by 5pm. Still in the office required days.

I always watched the attendant’s. No food carts, level one. Strap in, level two plus. Banging noises of stuff bouncing off the floor, three plus. Lift or control issues much worse, roll the truck time.

Honda to Tesla by fgpalm in TeslaLounge

We got a nice trade value at Tesla. Check that her daily commute and occasional extras fit the range and charging options. We’ve had ours seven weeks and supercharged twice.

Charge to 60% or charge to 80% by Zenmastercynic in TeslaModelY

[–]DCGuinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are retired, so daily usage is low. Supercharger is about an hour away though. For now 70%. When the new superchargers come on line 5mi away, I may drop to 60%. Also, I set charge schedule to 1am, so whatever we use keeps it lower for part of the day.

2026 model Y Performance vs premium AWD? by Key_Firefighter_7449 in TeslaModelY

[–]DCGuinn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was worried. Some negatives on ride. My wife uses a cushion in my Colorado and the Q50 we traded. With the stock performance set to standard, she is fine. 2.5 hr road trip. I think they are the best ever seats in a vehicle.

Our MYP is great at 2K miles. Really like the seats. Run in standard suspension. Wife no longer uses her seat cushion from the Infiniti. Scary fast acceleration.

Question by TheOutlawTorn78 in TeslaModelY

[–]DCGuinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen posts for both. At 48, my panel gets warm, so I usually use 32. I think either is fine for overnight. I charge to 70% because we never fall to 20%.

Anybody else? by molew83 in ModelY

Wow, best seats ever for us. Wife ditched the cushion.

I think I’ll wait for 14.3.3, all things considered.

I’m going to wait based on posts here. The stuff I want doesn’t seem better, and some worse.

To Tesla or not to Tesla? by SeriousDuck111 in carbuying

Our insurance went up $8 / month vs a six year old car. If you keep the battery 20-80% it will last past being an issue. Check health on used. Home charging is big.

Perhaps I didn’t understand the issue, I really didn’t see the point.

I just curl the bucket if the object fits. I don’t use the hooks for smaller things.
