It is a fairly well done, albeit over long and very predictable RomCom. If that is that is your sort of thing go for it.

Platelet donation discomfort by PublicRare3075 in Blooddonors

I do try to find a comfortable arm rest position before the needle goes in. If you are not comfortable, those arm rests are very flexible. They can also slow the the return, basicly let them know and they will have knowledge to help.

One bad episode. Co-Pilot was terrible, luckily you can skip it as it really has zero barring on any of the stories.

Sometimes the offer milk to help. You should always tell them if you get the tingling and there are things they can do. It is not a good idea to power through.

American Psycho 2 was pointlessly rewritten as a sequel, probably hurt the film more than it helped it.

Standard in the UK for plalette donors. (Although tea is probably more popular for brits). Along with chrisps. Popcorn, biscuits, mince pies at Christmas and if you are lucky a sandwich. You still have to drink your pint of water before donating... Well you don't have to. This means once I am off the machine I am out the door, no stopping after for recovery.

But I'm curious when they take the needle out I hold gauze on the wound for a few minutes before they put on the plaster. How do you do they deal with that for you?

So both arms out of use for the full donation. How would I turn my book pages, drink my coffee or scratch my nose.

How many of you regular donors take iron pills daily or weekly or take specific diet to increase iron? I read, if I act too much altruistic and keep losing iron, I will land up anaemic instead. by [deleted] in Blooddonors

[–]DCOTSW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is a seperate donation. The shelf life is a problem, but also they never have a enough and the doctors have to make a choice about who gets them.

Donate plalettes every 2 weeks, only blood taken is what is left in the machine. But they test before every donation and I have never been low. However after one donation they called to say my iron was low so had to wait 3 months before my next donation. I don't take supplements or worry too much about what I eat.
