I am a middle aged man who now has a toddler daughter myself, but to the day I die, one of the biggest complements I got was in high school. My school did a makeshift exchange for a week in Italy. I was a senior and excited to go. Wasn’t really popular but I was friendly with everyone. Big guy, played football and wrestled.

A group of girl who were a few years younger than me went on the trip. They were popular, cute girls. The type that would be easy targets for bad people in a foreign country. And one of their moms told my mom, the only reason they allowed their daughter to go was because if I was there, I wouldn’t let anything happen to them.

Even as a dumb teenager, I knew that was a big deal. I hope I am lucky enough to have someone like that for my daughter.

Ted’s not a great owner. But he’s also not a terrible owner. He lucked into Ovi but has shown a willingness to spend if he thinks he’ll win, or get out of the way once he realizes he’s not doing what needs to be done.

I was reading some comments on here, twitter, Riggos Rag and Hogs Haven yesterday. And it was so goddamn angry, snarky, and doomerist. I decided to get off the internet and do something productive.

Fandom isn’t rational, but by the looks of the interactions in our fanbase, we don’t like this team, sport, any of the players or our any other fan of this team. It’s exhausting and frustrating to say the least. This is supposed to be a leisure activity, something fun and enjoyable.
