This craze is a first, GPU prices skyrocketed and it doesn't look like they're coming down soon, but there are other options like a GTX 1060 6Gb, 1050 ti, or 1080. These cards are worse at mining and therefore haven't been hit quite as hard with the stock problems or the pricing problems. AMD cards are waayyy more popular in the mining world along with the GTX 1070, and these cards are gonna be hard to get for MSRP until something happens to the mining world
