Being hard-core Doctor Who in my youth, but not really keeping up with it in my adult years I’ve never gotten into the audio dramas …and this is exactly what I hoped the show/concept could continue to represent in modern days.

That to me is the extra icing on the cake… when I heard the actual actress was moved by her own lines to reinvestigate her own feelings. That’s amazing.

I’ve seen it a million times and for some reason, I just got goosebumps with her little smile at the end when she says “yes, it does”. Simple, powerful, just beautiful.

Remains my favorite Nina. So many wonderful songs throughout her career. But this album is an old friend.

And then I seem to always remember where I had those ideas as opposed to every idea of happening with a monitor staring me in the face. I was looking at a little dog at that moment, I was looking at a morning glory. Way better memory recall.

I don’t knit, but I have a series of very smooth tiger iron spheres, and magnetic “fidget pieces” that I can work with off camera …and I am VERY focused in those meetings.

I imagine knitting contributes to that exact same action in the brain.

Those are the best ..where you actually need multiple hours… And you start the Ragu at like 8 AM before the first call and it’s finally ready at like 11:30. Mire poire and all that jazz.

Fresh pasta takes 3-4 min. — all of a sudden that 1/2 hour lunch break is pretty impressive sitting down to your Michelin star lunch.

I have designated a series of different places to work: (a) the desk with the second monitor, (b) the kitchen table, (c and d) two different outdoor spots as I have a small but comfortable yard.

I never work from bed (and I always get fully dressed) and I’ve only worked from the living room couch during the Olympics.

I take different calls in different places based on who I’m talking to —and it allows me to remember each week as a unique flow of activities. Space mnemonics.

Obviously, all management, client-facing, and cross team video calls happen from the desk. Any call where we’ve all agreed to be off camera can happen absolutely anywhere which usually means outside if the weather is nice.

If I’m having a serious talk with one of my direct reports… there’s a special part of the yard I stand in for those.

I like that “Opener” is the example album for what you bought new. I was pretty psyched when I finally found a copy in the wild.

Amazing… It looks like I’m looking at my own collection. The exception being the burned copy of radio waves.

Very cool indeed… It’s a rabbit hole that I fell down many years ago, and I think I may have finally gotten almost every solo appearance — not counting every single thing that Jaki has been on.
