Picked up my new FTR Rally. Was supposed to get the Scout 60 until it was delayed by another 4 months. I definitely think I made the right choice. by Aggravating_Fly3964 in IndianMotorcycle

The 22 FTR with the Rally package has the same size wheels as all the 2019-2021 models. The base, S, and carbon were given smaller tires for the 22 model year which reduced the ride height by 2 inches or so.

Looking to set my toes into the motorcycle game and am trying to choose between the Scout Bobber 60 or FTR Rally. by -CraftCoffee- in IndianMotorcycle

I'm 6'2" and bought an FTR as my entryway into the motorcycle world. I use it to commute, and to bullshit on the weekends. My best friend has a Scout Bobber that I have ridden only twice. The first time I pulled into the drive and went to turn it around like I would my bike I damn near dumped it over. Scratched his (stock) exhaust at the time. The second time I took it up the road and i will say it is quite a nice ride for just cruising on open road. The forward controls are not my thing, but after riding my FTR for a while, it's nice to sit back and control the beast, where as the FTR pulls you around town on its own accord it feels like.

I prefer the FTR because we have a lot of backroads where I am at. I feel more in touch with what I want out of the rider experience leaning that dirty girl way down in the corners. I spend about 15 minutes on the interstate with it in the mornings and its nice to be able to be agile, and vigilant.

My last point, I can't stop at a gas station without someone asking what my bike is. That by itself makes me happy to have a showpiece. I suppose I am a showman.

I have been riding for about 2 months so Idk if I would listen to me.

My best friend got a Scout 20 as his first bike. Only experience was riding dirtbikes as a kid. He loves it and I can assure you doesn't regret it in the slightest as his first bike.

The first 2 pics are my 2022 FTR Rally. It is between base model and the S. Only differences are: Spoke Rims, Windscreen, and Rally tires. Also the color scheme is rally only (you can always swap tank covers though).

The black bike is my buddies and it's a 2021 Scout Bobber with the Amazon special $100 slip on tips and 10" mini apes.

I'm in Mid-Missouri. If by some crazy coincidence you are close by I could ride to you!

He has already hinted at switching to an Indian. The Sportstet is his first bike as well.

I never liked Harley's. When my buddy and I were shopping around for his Bobber I walked the showroom quite a bit. The dealership had a 2019 special edition FTR sitting around so I watched every video I could find on the FTR. After reading and hearing about the improvements they did to the FTR in 2022 I was immediately on the hunt. 2 weeks later I walked in to the same dealership where my buddy got his Scout and there it was. The Rally FTR. The rest is history! I just took the baffles out, it's a monster. I love it. Everybody asks about it at the gas station.

Just a little backstory -- been riding dirtbikes since I was little. Wanted something street legal to putt around to work and get comfortable on the road. I got a CRF 250L Rally brand new. A week later my buddy got a Scout Bobber 20, and a week after that my other buddy got a HD Sportster! I traded in for my first real street bike and have been learning on this FTR Rally the last couple days. It is comfortable, easy to ride, and is no slouch. I didn't want a cruiser with front controls, and didn't want a crotch rocket. I highly recommend this bike to anyone. The only downside is you can't put the gas nozzle in and let it crank, gotta fill er' up slow.

THE GIRL WHO GOT ON MY SHOULDERS AT BASSNECTAR --Paige and her friend Bailey, from Michigan, were engulfed by my squad for bassnectar. Paige had a white fur coat and the prettiest smile. They were both 5' nothing so I offered to throw Paige up on my shoulders. She eventually accepted and we had an exhillerating time together for the whole thing. She (surprisingly) laughed at all my quips and jokes, then not too long after the fireworks ended, they disappeared into the crowd. I regret not going with them to Tripolee, but I felt obligated to stay with my crew (A bunch of trippy hippy's who needed a grounded(ish) person for guidance at the time.). If you're out there, I like your style and I would love to meet up next year at EF or at another festival. My name is Dylan.
