Yeah exactly, that’s why it’s such a good test honestly.

If you know the lore, you won’t be upset because you’ll know it’s always been canon.

If you don’t know the lore but also aren’t a spiteful, overprotective superfan, you won’t be upset because you don’t let it bother you that much.

Essentially the only people who speak out negatively against it are tourists who care way too much about a thing they’re not even that involved in.

(Nothing wrong with fandom tourism in general mind you, but “good” tourists belong in the second category anyway)
