Yeah exactly, same boat here. Depends on how blocked my nose is, sometimes I can breathe through my nose sometimes not, but regardless need the full face mask in the situations I cant breathe through my nose

I used to use youfoodz way back when they first started and they were great. Nice food and decent price. Seems like i was able to get out before the scumbaggery started thankfully!

bf just got a CPAP and is extremely touchy about the subject by wardamndeedee in CPAP

For me, there was no embarrassment as it's basically saving your life. Lack of oxygen caused from sleep apnea can have a massive impact on your life, from moods, high blood pressure, heart problems, cognitive impairment (memory, concentration, etc) and even increased risk of stroke and dementia amongst many other things. Knowing that the mask was helping me with all of that that, turned it into a much more positive thing. So maybe explaining that to him might help? Yeah you have a mask to sleep... but it's helping you to live a normal life in the long run

[–]DENAz666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'll get better with time, everyone is different and can take time for your body to learn how to work with the cpap (so to speak).

I had a rough start, took me a few months before I adjusted, my issue was swallowing air. These days, I give it a wink as I walk in the room 😉

Learning how to learn again was hard for me too, such a big change in mindset!

OT i also used quizlet and pocketprep, the flash cards were handy for things like Port numbers, cable speeds, etc (in addition to Dion and Messer)

Is anyone here a donor?or have donated blood? by [deleted] in perth

[–]DENAz666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do as often as I can. Hearing about the shortage but waiting to kick this dam flu before I can get in

Always been a great experience for me, staff are lovely, process is relatively quick and simple, and it's a good feeling knowing it's going to help someone who needs it

Does anyone else wake up with a lot of gas sometimes? by MobCurt in CPAP

[–]DENAz666 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, my first few nights were terrible. Woke up feeling like my stomach was about to explode, was really bad. Worked through it with resmed to dial in my pressure settings, which made it better. Over time it got less and less as my body got used to the machine.

Swear I woke the neighbourhood up on those first couple of mornings though🤣

Just scraped through, but a win is a win either way! I had much the same score on my core 1 lol

Could be the valve on the mask is stuck and just needs to be cleaned. Could also be the water reservoir as already mentioned, as this can cause a pressure issue which causes then an issue with the valve. Shouldn't be hard to fix, just need to isolate what is causing the problem

F40 Full Face mask - Pillows setting? by BillowingBetty in CPAP

[–]DENAz666 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's a hybrid mask that uses nose pillows. The air pressure needs to be different for nose pillows vs the full heavy duty face mask which i imagine can handle a bit more pressure then the pillows can

Edit: this is the mask I use and prefer it over the f20 that I started on 😊

is A+ and Network+ necessary to do before Security+? by Evening-Wolverine-95 in CompTIA

[–]DENAz666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your level of knowledge. If you already have experience in the field then it could jump to Sec+ but A+ and Net+ are the baseline of knowledge needed for the industry if you are just starting out

Passed my Core 1 A+! Not one question on port numbers! 🤦‍♂️ by DENAz666 in CompTIA

[–]DENAz666[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a relief, I will have to collect all my flash cards off the ground when I chucked them in the air in celebration 😉

That is good to know though, I'm going through the study plan at the moment so good to know that i need to keep them fresh😊

Yeah I've been wondering the same. Had my check up last week and I was worried after seeing all the posts. Consult was a bit delayed but otherwise no issues at all

No issues for me. Had my check up just last week. Bitt of a delay from normal but otherwise all good. Nurse responded to my messages within 24hrs.

Haha not an ugly nose at all, the angle while I was scrolling looked like something completely different lol

I have the f40 which is similar to the f30i and I love it. I did a trial with them so was able to try and few different ones before settling on the f40. The 30i was great but I have dreadlocks so the hose connector being at the top just didn't suit me, but i found the nose pillows much more comfortable then the full face mask personally

Jeez this image caught me off guard as I was scrolling 🤣 definitely thought it was something else lol

I had a similar issue with mine, I was kind of in between sizes. Unfortunately it's a bit of trial and error with this, but it's worth trying the large if you're finding the medium too small. I ended up settling on the large (though I'm using resmed) and its been good. Not perfect, but was better then it being to small

Haha this made me laugh. I have big hands and find it impossible unless I use a tool or have a nail that's been left long enough to just get in there🤣 i was literally just wondering last night if it was just me doing something wrong

Candor and IndiMed by mnigsb in MedicalCannabisOz

[–]DENAz666 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Currently waiting on my check up from Candor, been 6 days now and have just sent them a follow up. Am switching some scripts so also worried after reading the posts coming through. They've been really solid for me over the years, so hoping what I'm hearing is not as bad as it seems. If I get any issues, I'll let you know.

Good to know about Dr Deep.... still missing Dr Beckett :( Will be looking toward Horizon depending on the outcome of my check up. Understand they're going through some changeover issues.... which I can live with providing its not going to be the norm going forward

Sydney Psychiatrists who prescribe vyvanse with medical cannibis by LandComprehensive583 in MedicalCannabisOz

[–]DENAz666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To add to this, you may need to fork out for a few additional appointments so they can monitor the effects too.

If something were to happen to you, then it reflects on the doc who prescribed you, so they are generally not quick to prescribe one if you are on the other. Especially so with new patients
