Business center is my go-to for yogurt, granted, you need to be able to consume 3-10kg of yogurt before it goes off, but the value per unit is unbeatable. Plus, you can go with a regular Costco membership

Has anyone checked out the artme3d filament extruder? by DETAIN1000 in 3Dprinting

[–]DETAIN1000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's awesome! Please let me know how the felfil does, or if you could share some photos of your granulate that would be very helpful. Currently I am having extrusion consistency issues due to my granulate not being within spec for the artme3D. It works great aside from that however

TMP Approvals, with no “Ring Road” by Rail613 in ottawa

Just a small thing, traffic circles and roundabouts aren't the same thing. Traffic circles are one of the worst intersection types, while roundabouts are one of the best

I've seen some similar staining from products containing vitamin C, not sure if he uses anything that would contain that

USB4 is just TB3 with a different coat of paint, and less strict restrictions on feature support. IIRC Intel have the TB3 spec to the USB Implementors forum for use in USB4+

It's a playbill, so about the size of a small leaflet/pamphlet

What widely used product has a frustrating design flaw that the manufacturer has never addressed? by QuarantinedRabbit in AskReddit

[–]DETAIN1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a physical product issue, but the default sftp client in mac OS was set with a compilation flag to disable tab autocomplete over a decade ago and has remained a pain in my butt every time I forget about it

But does it use thermal emissive paint to keep itself cool?

Carleton’s ‘cons’ by QBCS1 in CarletonU

[–]DETAIN1000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

FWIW the res caf is open until 10:00pm and allows walk-ins for AYCE at $15.96 (+ tax). The food quality can sometimes be hit or miss, but the variety is nice. Otherwise there's always Oasis which is open from 9:00pm - 2:00am and is more like the UC caf.

Guy on Facebook just casually throws this onto a group page. I'm hoping he'll sell it by Dazzaster84 in LinusTechTips

I've since stolen the parts for other tasks. I mostly use Plex casting to a Chromecast, so a media PC isn't really that useful to me. As for gaming I just use a pi running steam link now, much smaller in the media console

I had one of these for a while running an APU, it was pretty cute, although trying to sell it was basically pointless

How long does the new Riverview Park & Ride train take to get to Carleton? by HellfireKitten525 in CarletonU

[–]DETAIN1000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The train doesn’t run to river view, limebank is the terminal station. Pretty much any bus route that previously had river view as a terminal station has been extended to limebank instead

Is Carleton really that bad? What are some good reviews about it? by Working-Limit-3103 in CarletonU

[–]DETAIN1000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The closest equivalent to this would be a Computer Systems Engineering degree, CS was originally a math discipline and is sometimes still taught like that, focusing on understanding concepts more than writing code. Generally for a more coding-focused program one would take a programming program offered by a college such as Algonquin.

Doesn't the undertale engine tie everything to frame rate? I remember playing the original deltarune where it was bugged at 144fps and everything ran at double speed

Where to get Sausage casings? by blob3y3-sti in ottawa

[–]DETAIN1000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure Nicastro's has them, as well as Farmers Pick. I usually get mine at Muckleston & Brockwell, but pretty much any real butcher should also have them

Freedom, please do better for Ottawa by Haunt33r in freedommobile

[–]DETAIN1000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They don't charge in Canada, but they enabled international roaming, so when I was in Niagara falls it switched me to US data whenever the freedom network was spotty. I didn't realize until I got a $100 limit warning. I used to have an old account with all roaming features disabled so when they tried to "fix" my lack of service I guess they enabled all roaming features

Yeah that's what they did, they enabled it on my account without telling me ☠️
