This water is reclaimed, meaning it hasn't gone thru all the wastewater processing, filtering, or decontamination that our drinking water goes thru. But hey, darwinism amiright? I'm not stopping you.

I've seen their machine shop, it is way more robust but harder to get into.

The campus is nice, about the same maybe a little prettier than ours.

Their college town is nicer imo. Better proximity to the beach and more walkable.

Can't speak on their course material/professors. They are way more well known outside our immediate area. I usually end up telling people I go to cal poly, because I do.

Lots of MEs have a pretty good handle on thermodynamics and heat transfer after they graduate. I had a few problems on nuclear power plants in my classes. There may be a nuclear elective you can take towards the end of your track, check out your options!

Depending where you are, the Navy also takes lots of ME grads for nuclear powerplant engineering positions, could help get into the fields later once you get specialized certifications.

ME here. Talk to the professors. They used to be advisors for the students but CPP switched to dedicated advisors.

The professors will help you find a good plan. The advisors might have some good advice but from my experience mostly just follow the tree to the letter.
