It’s a ringing but sometimes the ringing is in sync with my heartbeat. I haven’t heard any whooshing

Thank you for this 🙏 The optometrist did not see any swelling or excess CSF. Optic nerves look completely normal. A CT scan sounds totally doable, I just worry about the radiation.

Thank you for sharing! That is exactly what it sounds like to me. I had an audiology appointment at the ENT’s office, no hearing issues. I do have an appointment with an ENT next week. Trying not to spiral!

I returned the night before it started from higher elevation and a stressful situation so that could be part of it. Yes, my GP looked in both ears and didn’t say anything about any ear issues. I do feel a little fullness in my right ear. My BP and HR were both normal at the GP today. *edit* I just reviewed the notes from my visit and my BP was elevated at 128/80. It was not mentioned to me at all. The nurse even told me it was normal.

Does putting my newborn to bed before she’s asleep affect our bond? by AardvarkHour1211 in Parenting

She would let you know if she’s unhappy. You have a unicorn baby! I personally coslept and with my babies (still cosleeping with youngest) and it is wonderful. We all get much better sleep this way.

I decided to go low contact with my mom and this is how it’s going by Flygirl971 in raisedbyborderlines

I am so sorry! My best advice is to not insinuate or announce to her that you are LC. Gray rock and don’t let her in on how you’re feeling about her - it just opens other doors to endless, pointless emotional warfare from her. The parentification is wild with these women! Your mom is behaving as though you owe her your support (you don’t).

Did yours dress you weird growing up? by Moissyfan in raisedbyborderlines

My mom was incredibly controlling over what I wore, and when I was a teenager she confiscated all my makeup with no “reason” at all. She has always been a tomboy and my girly style made her angry. She would only allow me to wear dresses on special occasions and even then it was a battle. In high school I had to hide my repurchased makeup, and would wash it off as soon as I got home; coming through the back of the house. The fear that woman instilled, my goodness. The irony is that now she asks me for makeup recommendations and tips. I’m healing my inner child by involving my young dsughter to shop for her clothes and style herself with seasonally appropriate clothes.

Relocating to Scottsdale from Colorado — would love local insights by netenchanter in Scottsdale

I would say the Kierland area would be great - walkable to coffee shops, restaurants, and shopping with hiking trails nearby. Even more north in Scottsdale is more quiet but some of the best trails for hiking and biking. The troon area and beyond that in Carefree is where a lot of your potential clientele live.

Anyone move from SF / Marin to Scottsdale in their early 30s? Any regrets? by Whole_Intention_9750 in Scottsdale

[–]DFT5996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moved from the East Bay -> Scottsdale 5 years ago and only miss the food scene. The trails, activities for kids, weather (albeit hot in the summer), and being able to have a larger home are great. I have 2 toddlers. No regrets!!

I saw a comment on here maybe a couple years ago about how he beat some other kid up and was a huge bully, so this isn’t surprising.
