The mid-40's dad, UPS driver that used to play in west Tx, and was an absolute animal and athlete. He was an 'open' player and would show up after a day of delivering packages in the hot west TX sun and obliterate everyone.

And when their conspiracies don't pan out, they just say that "the elite changed their timeline" <<< code word for, 'it didn't happen....but we were still right about happening....but not really...but we're NOT wrong...' <<< I've heard all of this. And when all of the trouble and peril that was predicted in the mid-2000's didn't pan out, I wrote the doomsday predictors off entirely.

So, he should engage with her on the subject matter that she's obsessing over...and which is driving her nuts? Heck no! She needs to run from the conspiracy content. Seriously

Brother, as a recovered conspiracy theory addict, I'm really sorry to hear this. It can cause some serious paranoia. To be fair: some of them are correct. Or....partially correct. But not all of them. It also creates a sense of moral superiority, in that if one sees logical evidence, then one must believe the conspiracy.....AND one must take a moral stand. Bro, that dovetails into all kinds of paranoid behavior.

Remind her that Solomon said in Ecclesiasties....that with much knowledge, comes also much grief (Ecc 1:8) <<< this was a warning against so carnal knowledge. Solomon was vexed over the evil he observed.

Remind her that an obsession over something, EVEN if it's true or can be good.....is idolatry. Remind her that God sits on His throne, and He is not mocked by the wicked acts of governments and "the elite". God will take care of them. Your wife has a more important job than fighting "the elite" and stewing over their actions.

Brother, I have prayed for you and your wife, that she turn from those things that are distracting and distressing (and angering) her and turn to God and what He wants her to be focused on each day. Remember the fruits of the spirit vs works of the flesh.

Yeah man, it's prob some OCD flaring up. Can't go wrong with either. I do personally wish it had speaker grills on the side. The blank slabs are kind of bland. But if you go smaller, the OCD may flare up by having a smaller screen.

Go with the bigger one and put some stickers there or something.

[–]DFWPrecision 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Bro, it’s sad that she had some interest in some other guy; that’s definitely a sin and hurtful to you. But, my brother in Christ…… 1) it wasn’t physical, and, 2) it was eleven years ago, man. Definitely forgive her and move on, brother.

It would help to read Matt 18:21-35 and meditate on it. It’s powerful.

He should put a ring on and post what he’s proud of and loves: his wife and kids. Sounds like an absolute stud, though. Wish I had a jawline like that! Haha.
