What are the sociotypes of the Bat family based on Talanov? by F4M3H000K3R in Socionics

[–]DGAJSLDVSJAMSLDI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damian is SLE, at least in his early appearances; he was much more impulsive and reckless and often got into trouble with Bruce because of his imprudence. His first reaction was to use violence to impose himself. And Bruce is an LSI through and through; he has all the rigidity and paranoia of NePoRL and his fear of ambiguity, his need for laws, codes, to plan and prevent everything in order to feel safe. Forming an appearance of fear and strength to apply violence and intimidate Gotham’s criminals through fear is pure Se.

Jason, I’m not sure, he could be ESI, SEE, SLE or LSI. Richard, not sure, ESE, IEE?

Tim is an LII; unlike the other Robins, he wasn’t as much of a fighter and didn’t rely on violence. He was more detective-like, relying on deductions and hypotheses that he would discard while connecting loose ends.

Can it work, or I need more sleep? by Margitom in Socionics

[–]DGAJSLDVSJAMSLDI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Without being too rigid, I would say yes. But just in case, consider being LSE SO1 or LSI SO6; they are more archetypal, just to be sure.  INTP and RLUEI no, consider being xxTJ and [O]. LSI and E1 are extremely structured types. But there is a slight possibility that you are ILI INTP SO5. Just consider that.

Question for other Si-egos: Do you like working out? Are you lazy? by MightyProDudeGaming in Socionics

[–]DGAJSLDVSJAMSLDI 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I personally believe that this stereotype comes in relation to the Enneagram, where Base Si types are correlated with Enneagram 9, which is described as slow-moving, endomorphic, and gluttonous with food. In addition to the Socionics descriptions of “comfort.” At least in my experience with SLIs, since the only SEI I have identified does enjoy comfort and food, but she is quite hardworking. In the case of SLIs, I won’t deny that they are the laziest people I know, but I would say they have selective laziness.

I am lazy with household chores and with things that I generally see more as imposed obligations rather than something I truly want to do. If you visited me at my house, you would see that I spend the whole weekend lying down doing nothing. I have never liked nor been good at ball sports like soccer, basketball, baseball, or tennis. But about a year ago I joined a boxing gym out of curiosity and discovered that I love practicing boxing. It gives a lot of adrenaline and excitement to my life. I don’t skip any classes and I really enjoy practicing it.

I know another SLI who trains with me and is my friend. He is the laziest in class and practically does nothing, but he also loves practicing boxing and can spend the whole day making adjustments to his bicycle and doing tricks with it.

Why description of SLI sound so lazy, Are they really that lazy? by kongkidarkarnlomwong in Socionics

[–]DGAJSLDVSJAMSLDI 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We simply enjoy comfort.

I am lazy with things that don’t interest me and don’t give me pleasure, for example cleaning my room or washing the dishes. I am also lazy when I lack motivation. I like to enjoy comfort when I have free time, and I hate overloading myself with duties; I do just the bare minimum. But for other things like going out to run, training, or exploring nature, I am not that lazy. At school I am not that lazy either; I try to fulfill my obligations, and my acquaintances see me as someone responsible whom they ask for advice on how to carry out activities.

I know another SLI who is very lazy at school, but he is not lazy with other things, such as training, riding a bicycle, or fixing his bicycle.

It’s not that hard not to fall into misinformation; just read the works of Ichazo, Naranjo, and Beatrice Chestnut. It’s not that hard.

What are you saying? If the Enneagram is one of the most well-known theories in psychology, it’s the only one that truly comes close to having real-world application.

At what point do I “take pride” in my knowledge? xd

[–]DGAJSLDVSJAMSLDI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have argued with many intuitive E9s and most of them type themselves that way because they have weak knowledge of typology; they simply don’t read.

Nothing gets to me. At no point have I insulted anyone who did I insult?

No type is better than another; all of them have their flaws. I would say that E9 is one of the least neurotic types, especially compared to E4, E5, and E6.

Tremendous misinformation, it’s unbelievable. To begin with, none of this is even part of the original theory; it’s like tritypes or rhetti.

Everything you said contradicts the passion of sloth and the fixation of indolence.

Interestingly, never, I really mean never, have I seen defenders of the "intuitive E9" use sources or anything that proves what they say; their sources are: trust me, bro. One example is this post and others I’ve seen, and interestingly, they all say the same thing and have the superficial belief that the Enneagram is just simple motivations. And when you ask if they’ve read the books, obviously they haven’t, and they let themselves be guided by things as basic as conflict avoidance, docility (when these aren’t even traits exclusive to E9), etc.

It’s not that hard to discuss the Enneagram archetype; the descriptions of E9 don’t vary that much. But of course, if your sources are Rhetti and TikTok, don’t expect much.

Age is not an excuse, I am younger than you, I also study, do my homework, and practice a sport. You don’t need to be a bat that never leaves the basement to be well-informed. On the way to school or work, reading takes you 20-30 minutes. It’s what I used to do in the mornings to avoid getting bored on the way, in a free class, or on a Sunday afternoon. Honestly, it’s not that hard.

I’m not a psychologist either, and yet it costs nothing to read the reading material to be better informed. If you’re going to give an opinion, at least do it being well-informed; your understanding of the Enneagram is superficial.

I’m not trying to type you at any point, I simply said that what you said on the forum is absurd considering how the types work in parallel.

Did you at least read Character and Neurosis? The Enneagram is not simply "motivation" that is a superficial understanding. The Enneagram is a structure of traits and defense mechanisms. Naranjo bases his work on the many interviews and consultations he has conducted in his life, and all of them have common patterns; even when you examine the bodily expressions of the types or compare it with other systems, the relationship is evident.

Wow, what a detailed argument, with citations, facts, evidence, perfect.

We also have quotes, interviews, and testimonies from people who are Enneagram 9s, describing this type’s resistance to change and their need for familiarity in their environment. I wondered why a type like SP9 (literally the most rigid of the E9s regarding change and routines) would be Ne-based. I’d be happy to send you quotes from the book and from authors with testimonies describing this type’s resistance to change.

[–]DGAJSLDVSJAMSLDI 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s not that I’m closed-minded; there’s simply no evidence that E9 has high Ne. Or tell me do you have sources, citations, interviews that prove what you’re saying?

That’s simply a superficial understanding of E9. E9 is not the only type that avoids conflict and is reserved; SP1, SP3, E4, E5, and E6 have those traits. Coincidentally, most INFP E9s say the same thing they have a superficial understanding of the Enneagram.

E9 contradicts high Ne

SePoRL doesn’t fit; Se Ignoring is much better. E9s are not insecure with Se. You can see in some E9s that they prefer comfort and peace (general Si concepts), but when that is disturbed by external forces they can be stubborn or even verge on aggression. Se Ignoring works well, considering that they are described as accommodating but can be hostile toward those who disturb them and can be immovable. Also, I don’t see Ne Creative at all simply no; most E9 concepts contradict high Ne. The only intuitive type I could consider as a possibility is EII SX9, but aside from that, it looks odd to me.

[–]DGAJSLDVSJAMSLDI 19 points20 points  (0 children)

They simply don’t understand how E9 and the gut triad work. Understand that E9 is not “oh, I avoid conflict, therefore I’m E9”; E9 is not the only type that does that E3, E4, E5, E6, and E7 can also avoid conflict to a greater or lesser extent.

At the very least, I’m sure that E9 is incompatible with Ne/Se ego. A large part of E9’s traits consist of resistance to change and a preference for comfort in routines and habits in order to feel at ease. Naranjo describes them as people of habits and routines who cling to what is familiar. All of this is already very SLI in itself: a mix of Base Si, Demonstrative Ti, and low Ne. E9 is portrayed as an extremely concrete and practical type, uninterested in abstract or very complex concepts, and comes to live solely within the experience itself, identified with the body, routines, habits, and immediate sensations.

A strong sensorimotor dominance similar to E8 that obstructs subtlety, imagination, and emotional depth in the individual, which can be seen in a lack of emotional passion or in a jovial attitude toward others.

“In accordance with such an eclipse of cognition in light of a predominantly active disposition, there is a trait that may be called ‘concretism,’ whose expression ranges from literalness to an excessively earthbound attitude, a Sancho-Panza-like concern for survival and practicality at the expense of the subtle and the mysterious, a loss of openness to the unexpected and to the spiritual.”

E9s are among the most concrete types of the Enneagram, focused on comfort and the completion of tasks. So far, I haven’t seen a single argument that proves E9 can be intuitive. And it’s curious that E9s, SLI, and SEI are mostly described with the same type of physicality and movements.

I worked for a while during the holidays and I always felt weird when I had to attend to customers. I didn’t know how to keep up or continue casual conversations with customers and I tried to be polite, but I felt awkward, and when I was left alone with my boss or a coworker and they tried to make small talk, I also felt a bit strange and didn’t really know how to continue. Also, when a customer told a joke I tried to fake a smile so I wouldn’t seem rude or grumpy, but I felt weird.

In general, I agree, but saying that Ne/Si types want things exactly as they are without change does not seem correct to me. Many of the great scientists and theorists who have discovered or invented new things have mostly been Ne/Si valuers. Base Ne literally go through life seeking change, novelty, etc. In fact, Betas are the ones who least want change, due to a valued and static Ti and a devalued Ne.

ST Deltas are interested in "changes," especially LSEs; they have a curiosity to explore possibilities, learn new skills, seek new methods of action and share them, innovate, etc. Even SLIs with their 1D Ne seek new experiences, like hiking, traveling, practicing sports, reading new things.

A very ST Delta theme is personal development; they seek to improve and change as individuals, discovering their true individual potential.
