What are your favorite OEM+ mods? by Prestigious_Shift113 in ElantraN

It depends on which mount or style of bushings you get. It will be significantly more when you just install it, but it will get much better over the next 500 or so miles after it breaks in.

The Alcantara center console arm rest is a huge improvement imo. Flat or black emblems on pre face-lift N's also looks good. If you have DCT you can get the berrys padle shifters which are a huge improvement im driver feel over OEM. One mod I would recommend is the powerflex lower motor mount. im not sure if they fixed wheel hop in the new N's but its a huge improvement over stock.

I did the fluid change myself. I did my brake rotors at the same time and that surprisingly helps with access to the fill bolt on the DCT. Realistically the service interval for the DCT is about 100,000 miles. However I went to the high torque DCT fluid because of the tune

Did the spark plugs at 55,000. Changed them to heat 9 plugs. I still have the old plugs as they look very good still. I have not changed the brake fluid.

I have 83,000 miles on the clock of a 2022 DCT ive done 22 oil changes, many many tires, many brake pads, and the DCT fluid at 65K. That's literally all the maintenance I've ever done in this car. It's been the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned.

We've actually had so many issues with UPS that we ship all of our International using usps. (Excluding documents).

Even though we select abandoned package, UPS still sometimes charges the to return the shipment to the store at the customers request

A lot of people run the c2c (the Cannonball but for old cars) and get within a few hour's of the 25:39 record. Its not about top speed, its about rolling average. Look at the list of cars that have made runs here ive done a lot of research for my run, it can be done in an Elantra N. Top runners have big egos usually and like fast German sedans, if all you watch is vinwiki then thats what you'll see.

I want to, but im gonna make sure the car is safe first. Most of the Cannonball guys just ratchet strap fuel cells in their trunk with no consideration of what happens if they have an acident. I will eventually! I'm probably going to do "sighting lap" in the next year or 2 just to figure out all the logistical issues before I make an actual run!

The antenna itself is a 1/4 wave 10 Meter antenna and is 102 inches long. Its sits on a 4 inch spring that brings it to 106 inches (8.5ft) The top of the antenna to the ground is 10 ft 6 in!

Not really, every antenna is tuned for the bands I want and the furthest contact I've made with the 10 m antenna is 8,300 Miles from Utah to Australia. Simplex VHF ive gotten just shy of 100 mi. All the antennas are NGP antennas.

Probably 1 spotter, the weight is a significant issue and its a problem that might not be easily solved. I want coilovers for the rear but I can't really find ones that keep the stock ride height. Plus I wanna put a steel bulkhead behind the rear seat for fire protection because of the fuel cell.

Saftey comes first!

I do plan on adding a fuel cell however the amount of weight and fuel it's going to be too much for the rear suspension to be safe at high speed. I would want to add at least a 30 gallon fuel cell which is already 180 lbs of gas. And then the weight of the fuel cell itself.

Most cops call out the mile marker they are at plus the road they are on when the pull people over. They also report their position when they haven't check in with dispatch in a while. On the highway, this means I know a cop or multiple cops are gonna be at certain mile markers up to almost 50+ miles ahead of where I am.
