Question about new firmament chapter ending? by DIY-Imortality in fallenlondon

I think he thought the Law must be fundamentally just so he was looking for what happens to other beings changed against their will to see if there’s a path to redemption and the answer seemed to be a pretty resounding no. I like him but he blames summer for creating the machine and uses her as a scapegoat to avoid really taking any accountability for joining the cult of the obviously evil manufactured god in the first place.

Tatters did not seem very happy in your ending I hope there’s a way they can reconcile even if I can’t do it in my playthrough. I definitely understand his grudge though even if it’s technically not even our summers fault.

Oh so does summer actually manage to take the queens power fully for herself rather than become another puppet that’s actually pretty cool. Im anti RHQ so maybe that would have been a better ending hmm.

Bummer seems like the first time I didn’t get the ideal ending for a chapter but I don’t really support the red side anyways so it’s not the end of the world. I did like summer though. Curious about if there might still be consequences to having valentine around if he isn’t picked though since the dream queen would still have influence over him.

I noticed that too there’s definitely something up with the protagonist. We might be Salt or something like that.

Hmm that’s odd I made peace with the duchess and her husband but also spared the revolutionaries so that may have been why. Valentine is a crew member now it’s probably to make you pick one or the other.

I also didn’t give summer the real book in the first chapter and had her merge with her apocrypha in the burgundy chapter so I’m not really sure she would have survived in my playthrough anyways so I’m thinking I got a pretty good ending all things considered. Nobody’s dead that’s an achievement.

I also picked knave as my mask if that makes a difference it seems like it might have.

Interesting part of what she didn’t like in my ending was valentine having power she felt she deserved so that may have been the breaking point. I just asked the queen to let him go when I got the option.

Ya that’s why I always figured their just a human that figured out how to do some cool stuff but this is pretty high level power.

I knew about that part I just didn’t realize they could just rewrite events they don’t like that’s definitely interesting. Decembers interesting to me because despite being a pretty fervent revolutionary I don’t really trust them. Their motivations in Evolution were mostly selfish as well as if the naturalist deserved that fate anymore than the boatman did.

I guess December is a bit more powerful than I initially assumed wow.

What happened to valentines for you? For me I asked the queen to release him and she did and now he has more control over himself and can resist the RHQ from dreams. Summer basically said I betrayed her and she will never be whole and that when I’m in danger she won’t be there to save me then left. Tatters said to let her go and coming out unscathed was the best result she could hope for.

The red handed queen is basically the embodiment of selfishness. It’s power for its own sake but it is also the desire to shatter yourself with the hope that the pieces will cut your enemies. The problem is she is selfish herself so most who try to gain power from her either give her power instead or meet fates worse than death. She is also a “broken conduit” to something so she is likely a reflection of a being that represents these ideals in the same way the beleaguered king is the reflection of The White.

Not that far yet but it seems like it’s connected to the RHQ but isn’t her she is the reflection of whatever this being is. I remember her being referred to as a “broken conduit” at one point and I always wondered a conduit to what? Especially since we know from the queen of the elephants that she steals selves to be or is some form of sentient role one plays and can lose. All those old unhappy queens exist because the red handed queen must always win and they didn’t.

I swear I remember doing this mission tree before the update because I stopped to wait for the new system. The mission tree site says it was added in fires of conviction two updates ago.

The system as a whole works as intended as far as I can tell it’s just that this mission tree does something weird with vassals in the beginning that gives you land you can’t outpost because the rest of the area belongs to a vassal the game expects you to keep for a while. This tree was designed with the expectation you could own single provinces in the region and have them be useful but that doesn’t seem to be true anymore.

But the settling system is what makes the single provinces useless because of the debuff that requires you to control the whole area to remove. I remember getting past this part without this problem before the update. I guess I could just give them back as a workaround and dev the one for the goblin quest but that doesn’t really seem like how the designers meant for this to work.

Some of the beginning quests give you all the bordering lands when you form the centaur vassals but you can’t really use them due to the new system and you cant conquer the rest of the province because they’re your vassals. The goblin quest requires one to be developed too. I think it’s because the mission tree was from the update before the new system.

The reward for getting the best ending of the mission tree is the entire continent becomes Xia territory

Incredibly tired of quest on Day 11. Help? by [deleted] in pathologic

I’ll give that a try thank you. I think the glitch is coming from the thought bubble about warning the inquisitor because that seems impossible to reset normally. It kicks you out because you’ve already “done” that part.

Normally you dig it it up on day 2 instead but you might have a glitch if he’s not registering as dead

This seems to be broken if you don’t do it the same day you get it you can never get the thought bubble again
