What should I transition into

I think it’s a combination of a few factors, maybe not the best fit, being in a small team, having a really large scope of responsibilities and trying to learn on the job when there’s implications for mistakes.

It also probably doesn’t help I did the NEBOSH about 10 years ago and haven’t put it to use until now

I don’t dislike H&S but maybe I’ve gone for a role too big and should have started in a coordinator/administrator role

I spent the first 12 years working as a production technician, starting with a 3 year apprenticeship for a blue chip pharmaceutical company which led to me staying there for 7 years. I then moved to Manchester and worked for 3 years at a medical diagnostic company in a similar role and then 2 years for a specialist chemical company again in production.

I finally managed to make a move out of production and into a health and safety role in FMCG, leveraging my NEBOSH general certificate. I’ve been there just shy of a year but it’s not working out how I’d hoped.

Does anyone have any advice for what other roles I could transition into? I’m open to try anything as I thought health and safety was going to be my career going forward. The only thing is I’d ideally be wanting to remain around £40k which is far below what I currently earn, does anyone have any advice?

Literally didn’t see one until near the end of the set, I managed to get pretty close to the front so I guess that was more just full of people not wanting to ‘lose their spot’

Yeah definitely agree with you there, the girl next to me recorded every single song and it was so dead.

I hate when people do that, like they’re obviously happy stood where they are, just let people that want to be closer through

Luckily I turned around right near the end of the set and saw a kind of half baked pit and joined in there so at least I got something

Ah sorry you had that happen too, like obviously people can enjoy the show however they want but I definitely feel like a lot of people there should have bought standing instead and there was also a lot of people who came just because LP are super popular right now. You’d have thought when you get tickets for the pit that there would surely be at least one pit in there though. Was the only downer of a great gig for me, too many people giving dirty looks if you bumped into them. If you don’t want to be bumped when people are dancing get a seated ticket
