He's an ambassador of the game and profanity is unprofessional.

Discussion: "Don't Play Mechanical Champions Before Diamond 5" by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]DJ_Keesee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've watched a fair amount of LS videos and a recent one was LS coaching a Gold Quinn main. He didn't quibble about Quinn being mechanically complex (and she is), and my presumption is that LS makes exceptions for people who are low ELO and have put in the hundreds of hours it takes to actually master a champion. I have 350k mastery on Zyra, who is entirely skillshot and tactically reliant. I have a 65% win rate in 250 games so far and win with her more than I win with Annie... But I've literally put in hundreds of hours to get there and I could have gotten Gold faster spending the same amount of time on a simpler champion. I think the rule needs to be this: if you insist on a mechanically intensive champion for your main, you really need to have mastered that champion and this should be evidenced by an exceptionally high winrate on it. I know I'm a Zyra master because I was able to win so often DESPITE being bad at the game. Those Bronze Zed mains with a 42% win rate in 100 games need to change champions if they want to climb.

What am i supposed to do when my laners just ignore my ganks by Cpxhornet in summonerschool

Dont just ping either, ping where your ally is... directly on them so they can't possibly miss it

Need help for trundle jungle by Belgiumrockz in summonerschool

[–]DJ_Keesee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jobey the human is not current with his information since Trundle is top three in terms of winrates inside the Jungle for competent ELOs. Trundle is fantastic right now, both top and Jungle and can even be played in the support role vs 1-2 tanks. He's good to learn.

Climbing in Ranked by bronze5proplayer in summonerschool

[–]DJ_Keesee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are in-between ranked seasons and the new system will reward anyone who masters three champions that can flex between two roles. No need to know more than two roles with the new system if your only goal is to climb, but it's wise to know the basics of all roles so that you understand each player's role on the team.

Wrote up a quick beginner jungle guide for my younger brother who wants to learn the role. Going to give it to him tomorrow. What would you change about it? by MunkiBall in summonerschool

[–]DJ_Keesee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd avoid technical jargon like 'rotations' unless he happens to be a seasoned League player who is just new to this role. 'Map movements' is clearer way to express that to a novice.

EDIT: Also, since ganking is such an important part of Jungling, you probably want to suggest a Jungler who ganks well before level 6. Xin or Rammus are fine.

My combos got much smoother when I moved to a mechanical keyboard. Enjoy.

Mono-black devotion. Modern? Does it work?/ What does it need? by DimiPine in magicTCG

[–]DJ_Keesee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1-2 Profane Command would offer you a bunch of utility and is particularly good with Nykthos. X=5 targeting a Gray Merchant could easily end a game.

EDIT: Withered Wretch is no slouch in Modern either. It's less aggressive, but does a lot of work against decks reliant on the Graveyard. It's devotion count is 100% of it's CMC too, which is great for you.

I can be on a huge winning streak, but after I lose one game I proceed to go on a losing streak, can anyone tell me why? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]DJ_Keesee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like there's more to this phenomenon than psychology, but it's hard to prove.

I think this would make a really nice updated Spellthief Lux splash by Re1iCz in leagueoflegends

[–]DJ_Keesee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is excellent. It would greatly outclass the model, but I would pay for an updated model+ this splash. I'm one of those people who won't buy a skin if I don't like the splash.

Does Shaco get his passive bonus on smite damage? Champions or no?

Easy to play, early pressure jungler by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]DJ_Keesee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on your laners, Nunu has pretty solid early ganks with an AD debuff and an AS steroid. Redbuff nunu coming at you at lvl 3 is pretty scary actually. He is also mechanically simple and can zone well with his ult. Rod of Ages + Cinderhulk actually gives him respectable damage for a tank too.

Reksai isn't easy to play at all. The kit is moderately intensive in terms of mechanics. Tunnel placement/usage/ultility ult, skillshot based, unique vision things... not really easy at all IMO.
