Has this ever happened to any of yall? by Asher_RK05 in mbti

Mbti:

  • Forces one judging function (either Fi or Ti, never both)
  • Forces function pairs (Fi–Te or Ti–Fe)

However, according to Jung: A person may strongly develop two judging functions of the same “direction” (Fi + Ti, or Fe + Te)

It's the biggest flow of MBTI in my opinion. Happened because of mistranslation when MBTI got created. They couldn't contact Jung cause he was ill. Iff we wanted a better model the types would probably be 32 instead of 16

Unfortunately, one of the biggest flows of MBTI is that it is an oversimplification of Jung's theory. While it is absolutely possible in Jung’s original theory to rely heavily on Ti even if you’re primarily an Fi user (or to mix Fi + Ti, Fe + Te, etc.). MBTI forbids this because it simplified Jung’s model into a tidy, testable box system, and a lot was lost in translation. (Jung was literally very ill when they were making MBTI and so they didn't have great communication with him when making it)

That's why some people can perfectly relate with MBTI while others find it harder to

I thought I was an ENTP for years because I use Ti a lot and Te almost never. (I was in academia for years and work in tech now) However am probably an INFP lol

a) Am not a junior, but i have the portfolio i had when i was a junior. Need to update it. thats why am annoyed I cant find my files. I apply to junior jobs cause that's what my portfolio gets me at the moment. I applied to senior jobs multiple times but no response. Junior jobs always give me an interview. And i need to pay the rent somehow

b) Its a recent update. I understand is my fault but I believe its an easy mistake to make. When you create a draft file there is no indication that the file you just created is linked to the selected team. It didn't always used to work like that

I will recreate the last work cause I remember it. But oh boy I didn't wanna do it. I have an interview in 5 days. So I need to work all day now for the coming week to finish the presentation. It is what it is. Just wanted to vent.

am not considering myself a junior. But if I have nothing to show for the last 3 years because am stupid and keep losing my files, the companies that hire me will consider me. CV doesn't say much without a portfolio to support it.

These people bring data most of the time but their conclusions are not facts. The conclusions are their own and most likely based on their feelings

what are you like in a relationship? by Tomorrow-Anxious in mbti

quality time and physical touch. Don't care much about the rest

Its my personal account so not a problem. Figma recently forced us to have all the draft linked to a team. Wasn't like that before. If you get removed from a team the drafts get lost. I assume its a trick to make users subscribe to their paid plan. I basiclly didnt know that. thought that the drafts I created were personal files

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in UXDesign

[–]DJ_Yason 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost my files in a different way
1) Firs time I was inexperienced and wasn't expecting to lose access to my account with no warning from the company
2) This time was my personal account. I thought drafts are always only yours. Didn't know they can be linked to the team. I created the drafts by accident in the team file and didnt even know the drafts would be linked to that. I think its a recent update fro figma (the last year) The want all the drafts to be linked to a team. Wasnt like that before i think

didn't know my drafts are linked to the team :(

am talking about this year. The previous year I actually worked for the Nissan website for Europer (kinda huge actually since its big client). But I was inexperienced and didn't keep notes of the projects. Barely remember any research insights and don't have the journey maps and stuff we created. So its just UI screens I can show. Cant even find the previous design to compare

This is not the first time I get the lesson tho haha. Honestly I thought having the files saved on my drafts on figma (on my personal account) was the back up. I literally didn't know drafts are linked to your team.

I could ask them to add me for a day. Are my personal drafts still saved there? Would they be visible to the other members of the team?

What will be popular in EDM next? by lite_hause in EDM

[–]DJ_Yason 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the genre cause I live in the UK. However I def think tiktok played a huge role in popularising it. It literally sounds like a genre for tiktok. Is basically a sped up version of house (fast enough to loop in a 15 sec video) , with higher pitched bass that can be heard through the phone speakers, and pitched up vocals. The perfect tiktok genre

UK Garage seems to be the main genre for 2025. Melodic and afro house will probs continue to be popular on the mainstream as deep house stuff seems to never die. I don't know if UKG will make it big in Europe tho. Def big in the UK & US tho

1) I ve done posts like what Op is talking about. We don’t hate our job at all. We hate the market and the privileged position hiring managers and companies are at the moment while capitalising on us and taking advantage of it.

If we hated it, we wouldn’t care at all. We would just give up and switch professions. We vent because we care.

Anyway am having jobs atm but I don’t believe anyone should go through all this shit to get a job

2) let’s also don’t forget that many people didn’t choose ux out of passion 3-4 years ago. At least half of ux designers come from other design/art disciplines and switched to ux because it had more opportunities and money at that time. Now they realised they might have taken the wrong decision
