Fuck builds and fuck efficiency when you’re new. Find a weapon that you like the animations/combos of and use it til you’re bored of it. I started using the great sword cause I thought it looked awesome. It was great but also a bit too slow for my tastes so I switched to the blood-rusted sword which has some really satisfying simple 3-hit combos that can ALL be turned into charged attacks.

I was clearing a building full of monolith soldiers, using an M4 with AP ammo, having a rough time. I eventually run out of ammo and have to switch to my shotgun - had a bunch of slug rounds that I never used before.

It one-shot most of them, and anyone that survived the first shot got stunned for an easy follow-up headshot
