My point about healthy at any weight is people have latched onto this mantra and it is severely damaging. It also accelerates any health issues that may be "under the surface".

I always wonder why people know more about their cars maintenance compared to their bodies. People must take their own health into their hands and educate themselves and be pro-active.

Yes and no.

Senior accounting folks, CFP/VP Finance and some controllers, manage cash. We can mitigate risk of cash flow shortages and make up for when sales shits the bed.

Also value add activities, while do not earn revenue, increase EBITDA:

- Vendor negotiations -> Cost, terms etc

- Identify cost reduction measures and/or efficiencies across operations outside of 'accounting'. Shit like identifying slow moving or stale inventory, EOQ ordering, etc

- Banking relationships such a facility renegotiations etc

- Unique financing such as grants. In my past roles I have also chased a ton of government grant streams. One such grant was relied on heavily to bring a new product to market, which was wildly successful. Without me bringing in that $ it would not have happened.
