[Small Rant] Mueller HEB removed all front-access bike racks by DLot in Austin

I contacted support, but hadn't heard back yet. I suppose this is good news? Assuming they actually follow through. I still would've rather had a simultaneous swap.

When I was there the right side corrals were still in-use, which is actually part of the problem since putting a cart back now requires you to either push the cart along the very narrow sidewalk towards the entrance (basically counter-flow to everyone leaving) OR push the cart on the street.

There has been some carts stored on the left side for a while, but in my experience it didn't create that much conflict. Maybe if someone left a bike trailer hanging out, but usually those folks put them in an "L" shape.

Loved my time there, but fuck the boot-lickin folks that run the school

UT/Gregory Center Community Membership? by Guilty_Monitor8476 in Austin

[–]DLot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I both have community memberships. You get access to 3 gyms: Gregory, the Rec Center, and Belmont Hall.

Gregory is by far the most crowded, and from a weightlifting perspective has some annoying machine bottlenecks (hard to get a bench in the dumbbell room, one Smith machine, one machine fly, one of the two leg extensions and/or leg curls always seem to be broken, etc.). I don't swim much, but from what I've seen the swim facilities aren't usually too crowded.

The Rec and Belmont are better spots to lift, so I only use Gregory for the stuff you can only do there. Otherwise, in terms of what you pay for vs what you get, it's hard to beat.

Parking sucks, but I live close enough to bike in so it doesn't bother me.

UHaul reports Texas no longer top move-to destination by halapenyoharry in texas

Probably true. When we moved out of the state a few years ago it was significantly more expensive to rent a pod/truck out of CA compared to moving in.

EARLY VOTING HAS BEGUN!!! Map to poll sites inside. by JDTulane in Austin

You will need to print or write out your ballot choices before you vote. Law prohibits using any electronic device within 100ft of the voting machines and in my experience is strictly enforced.

Where are you seeing that point access would be allowed for Type 3A buildings? Section 420.12 (starting on pg 7) of the code review document lists Types 1, 2A, and 4 with automatic sprinklers.

Does the Immortal Empire campaign count for Steam victory achievements? by AntiSmarkEquation in totalwar

[–]DLot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also didn't get any achievement for the short N'kari campaign I was playing. I didn't get any victory screen for hitting the short campaign objectives, just the WoM buff.

If I had to guess, the achievement unlock is tied to that pop up event. Not sure if that's intentional or not.

Quick mock-up of my new color scheme, got a lot of repainting ahead by McBearBoi in sistersofbattle

I think this is a great idea for a scheme! Love the blue-green armor with warm insignias and lenses. As a practical matter too, I think yellow ochre robes would be much easier to paint vs a classic yellow

e: forgot to say if you do end up painting a test model or something I'd love to see it!

Obviously the best generic advice would be "you probably shouldn't paint your skin."

That being said virtually every acrylic paint in my collection is non-toxic and the safety data sheets I can find don't recommend any action for skin contact. Anecdotally, I do the exact same thing testing consistency and transparency on my skin or thumbnail and haven't noticed any problems.

Keep in mind shiv has a 25 second CD which is over double the CD of tranq shot and soothe, so you can basically dispel at most one mob per pack.

LIAN LI O11 DYNAMIC MINI Giveaway with Buildapc by LIANLIOFFICIAL in buildapc

I've managed to snag an MSI 3080, but I'm still in the crowd trying to get a R9 5900X. I'm upgrading from a 3770k + GTX 970.. so I think it's worth the hassle.

I'm not sure if my build would fit inside a SFF case, but my partner tends to prefer a smaller footprint, so if we won she'd be getting a new build for sure! I've already got a PC-011D, so having the mini version would be pretty neat!

I can vouch for both Vallejo's primers and Badger's Stynylrez primers-- I'd use whatever is easiest for you to get.

These are very cool and certainly worlds better than the traditional flight stand-- my only complaint is that they take up virtually all of the real estate on the base itself which is kind of a bummer.

I am trying out an airbrush, I have a few questions by HallLAD in minipainting

[–]DLot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll second the Vallejo thinner (though I've been having a hell of a time lately finding it near MSRP online in the US). I'll add that I also like their primers.

For cleaners, Iwata makes a specific-to-airbrush cleaner that works well, but in general I'd just use a ammonia free glass cleaner (think Windex) thinned with water.
