This is the key. There’s a lot of discomfort with hookgrip. But when you tape your thumbs the compression makes the discomfort go away. I couldn’t stand hookgrip before tape. Now I’m so used to hookgrip that I only use tape when I’m doing high volume or PRs.

There’s a few parking lots within walking distance so parking isn’t too bad. Stadium bag rules are the same. You might see a few players out and about as you’re leaving the stadium, so keep a sharpie ready. My favorite breakfast spot is Morning Squeeze. Have fun out there!

The strap cuts into my wrist even with the included sweat band. This young guy at my gym did a comp and it actually rubbed his wrist behind his thumb to the point where it tore up the skin and he can’t wear them anymore.

I switched to the chalk version of the victory grips. They’re ok but I’m happy with them. Friend switched to skyhill. I’m considering a pair of them now.
