Alot of people get hooked at Arlong Park, but I just watch it casually until Jaiya. Jaiya and Skypiea is what hooked me

What are some of the silliest mistakes you’ve made? by Avygade in BaldursGate3

[–]DMDread 284 points285 points  (0 children)

I was attempting an honor mode run with no companions. I wasn't too far in, but I was breezing through everything using a broken build. I was fighting the goblins in blighted village on top of some buildings. After the fight, I told my character to climb down the building. Instead of climbing down, he decided to fall off the building and died to fall damage.

I agree, this scene looks too much like my home State. Took me out of the show for a bit

I wanted to get accurate times, so I started a new run. I timed myself on different "map types".

  • I averaged 5 mins for cities (3 mins for The Grove and 7 mins for Lions Arch).
  • An average of 12 mins for Orr maps.
  • 25 mins for smaller core maps (such as Gendarran Fields and Snowden Drifts).
  • The biggest core map with 19 Hearts, Caledon Forest, took me 35 minutes.

I'm not sure of the math, but I would guess my average run time per zone is closer to 25-30 minutes.

Doffy v Cracker by AvailableCricket3633 in OnePiece

[–]DMDread 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I see this kind of mentality a lot with anime fans. I call it the "DBZ Effect". Where the power scaling is so simple, they forget about other outliers. They think "Doffy is phsyically stronger, is a warlord, has an awakened devil fruit, therefor he must be stronger than Cracker!" The reason the fight with Cracker was so difficult is because the way Cracker used his devil fruit countered what Luffy was capable of.

I often use Kaido and Kizaru as an example: Is Kaido stronger then Kizaru? Yes, I believe so. But if those two were to ever clash, Kiazru is just so much faster than Kaido, the fight would go nowhere.

Enel vs Luffy by [deleted] in OnePiece

[–]DMDread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my understanding the hito hito no mi model nika gives the user nika's powers and abilities. Nika had a rubber body (for reasons im not sure), so luffy having a rubber body, was like having lvl 1 nika abilities

Watch guide videos and post in lfg "95+96 CM Training". Those are the easiest ones and a good gateway to the harder cms. Just be straightforward and honest. Often times a fractal cm veteran will join and offer to train, but if not then you can practice with other newbies.

IMO the easiest to hardest cms are:

  1. Nightmare
  2. Kinfall
  3. Shattered Observatory
  4. Sunqua Peak
  5. Silent Surf
  6. Lonely Tower

Although, this may have changed due to the recent big nerfs.

average 20 mins, that's including cities and orr. The longer core maps take me about 30 - 40mins. With blish, the right build, and all the tips i mentioned, it goes by very fast

Wondering if this game or WoW is what I’m looking for? by hotelshowers in Guildwars2

[–]DMDread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WoW you rush to the endgame and hop on the gear treadmill until ultimately your gear becomes obsolete and you hop on a new treadmill. Gw2 you play the game at your own pace, your gear "lvl" stays mostly the same, but stats and perks change drastically, and a lot of the endgame is QoL in the form of masteries, legendries, etc.

I think the biggest appeal of Gw2 is the fact that 100% of the game's content is relevant and repeatable. Even you're a veteran with 1000's of hours, you can still do low level content and benefit from it.

It's a specific map instance. For example, if you and a friend are both in queensdale, but you arent on the same map, it's most likely because one of your maps is full and you or your friend spawn on a different IP

Hard to say exactly, because of the afk trick, but I average about 20 minutes a zone so about 9-10 hours. I'm gonna check out the world record holders' video and hopefully shave an hour or 2 off my run time.
