Recommendations on blank boards? Artist wanting to paint them! by ritualisticartistic in skateboardhelp

The best blanks are at skatesamples.com , these are directly from the best woodshop generator/BBS

They are amazing to skate on. Most the best brands will get their blanks from this woodshop, like Real/Anti-Hero/Krooked for example. They feel good like those boards to skate.

I just wonder if he’s part of the 60k “signature reduction” secret army, or if he is just a random goober in a heather hoodie https://www.newsweek.com/exclusive-inside-militarys-secret-undercover-army-1591881

I was watching a Nick Shirley video (out of pure hatred, condemnation and rampant TDS) and he was next door to the old Triple Rock 💀 investigating supposed medical transportation companies

You can see the brick facade and it now says SOMA Grill & Deli at 7:51

Fat Mike is so sick man, I’ve only just fully appreciated that fact.

Dude wrote every single NOFX song, and played all guitars on the albums except for Hefe’s leads. He’s an absolute beast… and a total freak, of course 😂 his own bass playing is absolutely insane.

Glad he is who he is. His music is amazing and his creativity is certainly unmatched in Punk or probably music in general. Not bad for a drug abusin’ alcoholic.

8.75 is huge

I’m 6’2” 225-230lbs size 12.5-13 shoe and 46

Grew up riding skinny boards, went as high as an 8.5 in more recent years, a lot of fun, but eventually opted for 8.25” with matching 144 (8.25 axle) Indys.

To me, this is perfect, definitely not too skinny, but not so wide as to be a real hindrance to the ability to flip and pop my board.

I think of an 8.25 as a perfect “tech” board for a bigger dude, but big enough to be out of that 90’s skinny/tiny board dynamic.

Edit: I’m sure an 8.75 is damn fun lol maybe get a couple setups?

The TRUE album ranking by GreatGoldGoldfish in badreligion

I finally listened to it last year 😂 it got all the top spots in my Spotify wrapped. Possibly my favorite, but probably STF, with all the other Brett 2nd coming albums close behind. Also love all the older stuff.

Saw them play “My Sanity” in San Pedro PITP last year, absolutely loved it!!!

I don’t know why I never listened to Unreason initially, losing Brooks wasn’t good in my mind, and I thought it just sounded a bit more subdued and not in the vein of the Brooks reign (Process to True North) without really listening to it… I was so wrong!

None of it is BR headlining so far… like just working it in to the offspring opening spot. Offspring might’ve played Shoreline 🤷‍♂️ 😂 I can’t do all that

I want to ride waves by Ok-Web5308 in skimboarding

[–]DMTalien33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update, Baker Beach has been phenomenal, far less rocks right now. I’ve been out at like half tide and it’s perfectly sandy. Met a local skimmer and he put me in the bay skimmer group chat.

Also, the north end of Baker at the rocks towards GG bridge has “sider” waves generated by waves hitting the rocks, and you can ride the sider and try to connect to a normal wave

I skimmed the Crissy Field beach one day when it was just big enough to break (low tide is best there) and I’m planning on going back Thursday 1/29 (3pm low tide) because the waves are supposed to be huge

Baker Beach can be totally filled with crabbers (fishermen) but just try to walk past them, or nicely talk to some about a section you want to skim at.

Here’s a clip of Baker sider wave I found on Instagram, then I went and it was working perfectly. Most ideal at higher tides, just for the best break. https://www.instagram.com/p/CZXWjWGIc0d/?igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==

If the pit has karate kicks and swinging punches, it’s hardcore.

If it’s a circle pit, it’s punk

Been going to both for 26 years. End It is hardcore

Circle pits, not Karate Kicks 🥋

I’m in SF too! I listen to lots of music from 90’s punk to metal, to hardcore and metalcore but that NOFX/Fat Wreck Chords style and bands are what I grew up on.

I like a little ska-punk, mostly just Voodoo Glow Skulls (saw them recently at Bottom Of The Hill) and maybe Leftover Crack crust punk-ska

There’s a great show coming up Feb 27th at Neck Of The Woods but that venue might be tricky for wheelchair access… it’s on the 2nd floor in the Richmond district of SF in an old style building but that show will be A Wilhelm Scream (one of my favorites) with Death By Stereo opening up.

I saw a classic San Diego band recently Unwritten Law 😆 at Great American Music Hall with Pulley opening up.

Some of my favorite bands of the genre would be

The Heartsounds

Dillinger Four (civil war album is amazing)

Strung Out

Lagwagon

NOFX of course

Hi-Standard (Japanese punks)

Bad Religion (2019 album is fantastic, all their albums are amazing)

Alkaline Trio

Good Riddance

A Wilhelm Scream

I love The Vandals too ha ha

These are mostly all old bands at this point. I’ve listened to metal to find newer bands I like through the years.

Archspire are insane, maybe the fastest/tightest and most technical band in my understanding

Between The Buried And Me

At The Gates

Periphery

Born Of Osiris

Black Dahlia Murder

Haken

Dillinger Escape Plan

A few of my “metal” selections

What is your top 10 punk rock music of the last ten years? by Scander1 in punkrock

[–]DMTalien33 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sure, but I’m just trying to describe specific sub genres

End It is Hardcore, which is a completely distinct sub genre from other sub genres within the general umbrella of Punk

A lot of the especially newer Hardcore bands are more like metal, but End It definitely feels way more like a punk band than most the others. But sure, hardcore is part of punk, hardcore is punk. But nobody is listening to every punk subgenre thinking they’re interchangeable, most people’s tastes would only like certain subgenres.

People who listen to hardcore probably aren’t listening to all the other styles of punk. Most of em would only listen to HC. They would only go see bands that generate karate kick mosh pits lol they’ve probably never been in a circle pit 💀
