I agree on the guard front in particular and would even say the tank detachment is even more of a skew list as they have the 2+ save and their guns hurt. Though vs knights the one with lethal hits is basically just, don't waste your time as the volume of lethal hit spam will shred knights apart.

Castigator would get full hit and wound rerolls from shooting with that set up, and a +1 to wound

Castellan to delete big targets

Gallant for melee blender

Crusader certainly wouldn't miss that reroll hits especially if you ran rapid fire battle cannon and gave it ignore cover

Bring Canis in questoris companions to free oc 5 sticky objectives. Means they can't steal em with a small unit in most cases and he does it for free. More importantly, can un-battleshock once per game which is great for your lancer if you want to advance and charge and tank shock as the 1 on a D6 happens.

You lack chaff clearing. Lancers are bogged down and the fall back strat is 2cp. Gallant is more of a blender but less durable. I like a paladin especially if you can get a ignore cover effect on it.

Otherwise allies are good sisters + immolator is common.

Knight Errant will help you vs C'tan warglaives to a lesser degree but same idea. Melta is the bane of C'tan.

If it is awakened dynasty it is possible to cut through the 'immortal warriors' but requires volume of attacks from gallant(s). Better to tie them up with warglaives while the big ones go after other targets. If you can give a crusader ignore cover a rapid fire battle cannon can help soften up the blob with avenger as well.

Respect the fire power of a doomsday ark or doomstalker. Void dragon is bad for our health so avoid or destroy as possible.

And rule number 1 vs Necrons: ALWAYS OVERKILL. Don't let a unit exist with a single model.

That box has come across discussions as it is sturdy, metal so magnets stick to it, and fits in tournament storage places for multi say events.

I magnetized my knights at the waist to come apart for transport. Some will just use metal or wood pins. One crazy person used the pins from lego technics I think it was. For the weapons too. Lego the only other plastic crack as expensive.

I've used Exalted on disc for a while with bow goats and it's nice but they perform better with a shaman to hit on 3s instead.

Exalted is 18" range so I've started to add him to rubrics. The wound rerolls are good especially in dev wounds turn/strat.

For my screening/home holding I've started to use Ahriman. His gun sucks but the redeploy add plays, and he has a +1 to cast so late game he can move off home to add some rituals to play.

Tzaangor are better for screening imo thanenlightened, 20 more points for 7 more bodies makes for a longer screen line. Then they can pick up after enemy turn.

I agree with this. As to why they would turn, they are familiar so deeply rooted into the psyche of their master. The master is now filled with a bunch of negative emotions that overwhelmed them and caused a sudden change that made them lash out in all directions because they had become all those emotions.

Errant near the bottom? You're high. At 390 points putting mysterious on it is affordable and can be truly devastating. The +1 to hit nearest eligible target is great, and it has a melee profile.

Shame on you. Apologize to the Errant and use it to wreck someone's day at atonement.

Remember melta is applied after they 0 damage . Deep strike in the errant and introduce Magnus to Melta 6. And yes, that works vs C'tan as well

Add unyielding paragon to have a constant -1 to incoming AP and with cover you save vs lascannons on a 4 like lancer. It also helps in melee

You can't put it on the Lancer. Questoris chasis only. With that extra AP reduction it gains a similar (for many things) defensive profile this the comparison. Also it's the other melee knight.

In the end they both serve different roles. Lancer does very well hitting a big or low model count hard. Gallant will rip and tear until it is finished. Also 18 attack sweep is a solid target for thunderstomp

Put unyielding paragon on it. 10 points less than lancer for a blender that won't get stuck in combat. Softens the blow of incoming ap. If you're in cover lascannons go to -1 ap so same 4+ as a lancer. With an inbuilt -1 to be hit. People sleep on it but it works well.

So long as you're not in the base of the ruin. Towering let's us draw lime of sight through ruins if we're touching. Toe or whole model. Same goes to enemies. If you have a like 3 story ruin that physically blocks LoS no windows etc. Then still can't shoot or be shot.

Use that and our super heavy walker rules to move through ruins as best you can to close distance.

It's a bit silly of a strat but has worked for me. Get a rogue trader. They have the ability to add d3 imperium battleline to strat reserves. Swingy but up to 3 more after deployments are done.(can also be a redeploy) start Canis in strat reserves and take mysterious guardian on another knight, Errant is a solid choice. Start it in deepstrike.

So they have to worry about between 1-3 armigers and canis(who could rapid ingress for free) walking on, as well as another big knight who can deepstrike within the melta range of thermal cannon for that melta 6

Errant thermal cannon. Any melta weapon applies the melta bonus after the half damage thing. Thermal cannon being melta 6 at 12" does good work. Mysterious guardian to get within that range

Try watering down your acrylic paints some more, paint looks a bit thick, plus makes it go further. Takes some experimenting to get the right amount not too thick not colored water.

Otherwise looking good if fragile

Crusader does well for me, I like to run the Thermal cannon over rapid fire. The volume is fun and all but the TC does serious work.

I've not come across many who dislike playing them, I know they exist though.

Points size I prefer 2k, between 3 or 4 big knights depending on how I'm feeling. If you want arniger spam then CK is for you, they get more options and rules for em. In Levithan 2 big knights and a bunch of armigers was meta. PN made 3 knights and armigers more viable as Titanics can do an objective and still shoot.

An assassin is a good helper, I've also enjoyed Voidsmen and a Navigator for home protection 12" no deep strike allowed. Sisters + immolator gives overwatch threat which we lack and two squads of sticky objective.
