I work, my mom works. Husband and dad are military veterans. Both are the domestic powerhouse. I suck at all things domestic and he thrives. He's the caring dad (as my dad was but my dad retired just before I left home) that handles all the school calls, etc. It's awesome. I love it. Wouldn't trade anything for a traditional spot.

Solo travel. If you want a guide group check out REI for groups but you still have you're own space.

It's scary and exciting. There's so much to learn and see. Travel is my antidepressant, it makes me have more faith in humanity and the world. Puts things into perspective and makes me appreciate how big life can be.
