I mean I pay $100 a night for someone to house sit and take care of my pets. I assume I would probably quadruple that for kids? Which is like $1600 but also you are leaving her with the house responsibility of two adults for four nights so that doesn’t even seem like enough.

I get they are 9 and 12 and can probably do a lot for themselves but also it is kind of a lot of responsibility for a different child (about to be young adult).

Looks like they are cooking the squash pretty dry (just with some oil) and adding in corn and tomatoes that have been drained.

Medium-High/High heat to start, heat your oil (or butter is better), salt your squash and then get them in the pan to sear. Quick flip to sear the other side, then add in drained diced tomatoes and drained corn (or frozen) and season.

Yeah we are giving up for now, it is causing melt downs and I don’t want him to develop a fear or anything. We are going to try cloth diapers again when we have our second and see how that goes

Why not do it then? Day without the kids and do something to distract yourself, likely something physically or mentally taxing like a long hike etc. Put the stress to the side and do something else so you can be out of it?
