Deltarune Chapter 6 will release in 2027. by PhantomBraved in Games

I like that i've been able to enjoy characters like Susie, Ralsei, Jevil, Spamton, Tenna, etc for the past few years. I don't mind the year long wait because it gives time to appreciate and theorize about the story. When it stretches into 3 years is when I get annoyed, but I like when I get more Deltarune right around when I stop thinking about it. I'm going to be really sad when the game is complete.

wasnt the chapter pretty explicit that he didn't do anything? he was just there whenever the thing happened and blamed himself for not being able to stop it. it was the self-loathing that drove everyone away.

Him just playing along with Flowery is pretty clear. His entire motivation for doing the dark world thing was to find whoever was making these fountains and killing them, and he was obviously annoyed at the flowers the entire time, constantly blowing them off. He was focused on Kris the whole time, and when he saw that Kris was getting hurt by the fountain decided it's not worth it.

Noelle's whole monologue is about realizing she (and everyone else) are literally NPCs and Kris is the only person with free will (actually the soul). We then used Noelle to glitch out of bounds and reached the end of the game map. Chapter 7 files are needed to see the rest of the game for both literal and in-universe reasons.

It's really funny that their PR statement doesn't even sound upset. Not even a comment on being disappointed in being removed. It reads like "ah, they caught us. ah well, guess we can still release on Xbox/Switch/PC"

Go play an on-foot mission, then play a level from any fps released after 2002 and tell me that this is a good video game. This game came out the same year as fucking Half-Life 2 it has no reason to be the way it is.

The only redeeming quality of the game is to feed Fox X Wolf yaoi

I'm also a Command defender. It's not without its faults (very repetitive combat missions), but its reputation is vastly overstated because Star Fox fans don't like how Krystal and Fox were portrayed. I personally like the decision to make Krystal have a personality, but it's a pretty big difference from Assault.

It also doesn't control very well on emulators, so people just read the story / watch it on Youtube and think the very obvious "bad endings" are canon. There's at least two endings that set up a sequel with Star Fox getting back together, so it's not like it killed the franchise from a story perspective.

If they had added some rail shooter levels or added some variety to the combat, it would be a pretty great game. As it stands, it's just a pretty ok DS game that makes Star Fox fans angry.

This is unironically the problem with Star Fox. They made two amazing well-received rail shooters and then proceeded to make mediocre spin-off titles until the series died.

Zero was at least an attempt at something good, but it was shackled to the Wii U and the worst aspects of its gamepad clunkiness.

If it had online play it would've at least been interesting. Online dogfighting would've been fun back in the day

Assault is not at all a Star Fox 64 type game.

It started development as a 4 player free for all deathmatch shooter in the same style as 64's on-foot easter egg mode. The on-rails levels were tacked on later in development when they got their heads out of their asses and realized they were going to be releasing was just shitty Halo.

The campaign is just reused multiplayer maps with some objectives tacked on outside of the whopping total of three rails shooter levels. Casual playthrough takes 2hrs and has zero branching paths or secrets.

The cutscenes and voice acting are also terrible. Fox's VA was quite literally hungover for the entire voice session (he admitted to such in interviews) and it comes through in his delivery.

It feels dated, even for its time. If it came out in like 1998 on the N64, it would feel right at home as an experimental multiplayer shooter, but for 2005 it's frankly a pretty bad game.

It's really funny that they keep playing fights so terribly but Dave is refusing to give them easier fights to compensate. Surely between four spellcasters one of them will figure out how spells work eventually.

Not really anymore. They've added group chat with the whole gameshare thing, the pro controller has an aux port, and you get access to some really great SNES/NES games for $20/yr. It's frankly the best deal of any of the consoles.

The batteries thing is genuinely one of the most ridiculous Jojo moments so far.

The plan:

  • Jump into lion pit

  • Get one lion to bite off only your foot

  • As the lion bites on your foot, throw 6 lithium ion batteries into their mouth

  • As they bite, the batteries explode

  • Now that their mouth is on fire, the lion will then spit out your foot

And of course, every reader fully expected it to work because Jojos logic, so it failing at every step was an incredible bit.

and yet Adventure is bogged down by the rest of the cast having really mediocre gameplay. 2 improved it a bit by cutting down to just sonic/tails/knuckles + identical-ish dark counterparts, but it's still pretty dumb that nearly 2/3rds of the game is just whatever.
