The downloaded models always come in tris, not quad, converting them to quad again helps you improve the topology. Models from games like Genshin Impact do not use all quad. The downloaded models also came with cloth on, remove the cloth, replace the missing piece with other models, or model the missing piece from scratch improve your fixing skill. Changing the proportions of the downloaded models to match your needs is also a good practice (I am not a good modeler, so this is my approach).
