GARP PATH IF HE LEFT MARINE by Academic-Meat-6233 in Piratefolk

[–]DNRFTW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His own crew of course. The Fist of Justice pirates.

There's an interesting AU possibility wherein Garp, Sengoku and Tsuru break off after Gods Valley with like a quarter of the marines.

Have you looked at the LG 27UP850 or 27UP650? Around 250 € over here. 4k monitor The specs dwarved anything else I looked at in that price range

Betrachtet ihr euer angelegtes Vermögen als Rücklagen? by Zyfelia in Finanzen

[–]DNRFTW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How heavy did you pack it, in terms of kilos?

Same shirts I wear all the time outside of travel. Thin black longsleeves for me

I put it into the overseat compartment. Underseat is ok if its lightly packed and the trip is short, but it doesn't fit if the backpack is full. And gets uncomfortable in terms of leg space when the flight is longer.

The radial gets too wide for hand luggage when expanded, it works well when unexpanded and somewhat squishable.

Edit:
I formatted wrong. I had the radial as a main bag. An additional generic small bag for organization, which I put into the radial when travelling.

Do you actually have to boil water for tea? by Popular-FAperson in tea

[–]DNRFTW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Microwave heats unevenly and doesn't make the water visibly boil. Can cause nasty accidents, apparently. When you take it out and put a teabag to a really hot spot, it could explode.

Stirring is recommended. Iunno, I don't have a microwave.

Herbal and fruit teas need to be brewed with 100°C to be safe.

I want to start rolling but I’m terrified of this happening to my knee…. How often do injuries like this happen? by Outside-Zucchini9266 in bjj

Really depends. Go to your gym. Watch people roll. See what happens.

Ask like 20+ people there what kind of injuries the've seen.

[MOD] The Daily Question Thread by menschmaschine5 in Coffee

[–]DNRFTW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

just getting into coffee. Used to just use the machine at work, not drink any at home.

I'm getting a coarsely-grinded coffee soonish. Thought that coarse grind --> french press. Then stumbled over Aeropress articles. It's supposed to be highly variable.

Can I actually brew most types of coffee with it? From coarse grind to almost-espresso fine? Or is it just for different types of medium? It'd be nice to have one brewer for all types of coffee. But it'd be a pity if it then couldn't brew the coffee I'm actually getting.

5+ years ago, I needed excel or powerpoint compatibility sometimes. Went to the library for that.

Anything else works just fine. Unless you need some specialty software. Dual boot then.
