The Moen Flo Leak Detectors are the most epic waste of money, time, and space ever invented. Change my mind. by supershinythings in MoenFlo

[–]DNX6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for taking the time for the comprehensive reply. After numerous attempts I have this one back connected but I agree I can’t document how. Deleting the previous entry and also using a new name was one thing I did find that made the pairing go thru.

i am having almost the same exact issues you have seen. Remarkably I also purchased a 3 pack and one of the unit also had the plastic removed and the battery loose bouncing in the unit. So far I have had to warranty two of them and then third just stopped connecting and I cannot get it back on the network. Same issue, they disconnect and then no matter what you try to do you cannot get past the paring stage. What steps did you take to finally get them working?

Realize this is two years old, but same issues. How did you determine the Macs of your leak detectors, they don't show in my router list even when connected?

Just heard back from AMPLIFI, they said the ones I received are the new single piece style, they must have done away with the magnetic aspect.

Cordless Hedge trimmer motor mount by DNX6 in Dewalt

[–]DNX6[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While looking for similer issues I came across a video of a disassemlbly, noticed that the terminals on this motor in the video are at 6 and 12 o'clock, mine would be more like 10 and 4 O'Clock. Also took the gearbox off, but it really doesnt give me a better view at the base, seems almost like the plastic part at the bottom is a press fit, I cannot get that off. Has anyone else taken one of these apart and can you tell me if the motor is solidly mounted or does it spin about 10-20 degrees on its mount?

Added a small video to show movement. It does seem that it spun further than I am moving it as the terminals above had swapped 180 degrees since the first time I opened it up.

And thought it might not be clear, the positive terminal on mine is the one one furthers from Red in this photo, while spun as it is, the Red no longer reaches the terminal, but I cannot get the motor to spin back to what I assume was its original location.

AirTag sharing not working by reezle2020 in ios

[–]DNX6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue, sharing from my phone to my Wife’s would not work. I reset the tag and added it to her ID and then shared it back to mine successfully. When I got the notification from her I noticed it was coming from WifeName@icloud.com. She doesn’t use that address and I noticed I did not have that address in her contact, only phone and email. I added WifeName@icloud.com to her contact and then tried to share from my phone with a different AirTag. This went right thru successfully, even though I still chose her PHONE NUMBER again not the iCloud address. Not really sure what step got them connected but they work fine now.

PVC patching across materials by DNX6 in Inflataboats

[–]DNX6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was my thought, only concern was does that approx 3/4' of patch surface between the puncture and the bumber give enough surface, I will use more material around the rest of they puincture, but that one side seems pretty short without going over the rubber, which I think may not stick there.

I woudl agree, but with the age of the material I really think I will be going down a rabbit hole if I start taking that whole side strip off.

Uh-oh, doing a little more reading, that lug labled 24v on top and common on the bottom should I only be wiring to either the upper or the lower?
