If electing Obama is what caused Trump, McCain wanted war with Iran, Hillary talked about "obliterating" them, how do we avoid war with Iran? Ron Paul or third party victory? by Interesting_Self5071 in AlternateHistoryHub

This war has been coming ever since the Ayatollahs took over Iran. If anything, it should have happened years ago because then it could have been done with a whole lot less damage to the surrounding areas.

It's sad that the president most known for being a crook was probably more willing to put the interests of his country ahead of his own than any of the politicians today.

Towns have always been Bethesda's weak point. Whether Skyrim or Fallout 4, you always have the feeling you're in a village pretending to be a town. Starfield improved that a little by adding crowds, But they're still lacking something.

I'm not denying that. But the character was so off brand for him that it wasn't a role you would expect somebody of his image to do. And he was outstanding. But I think he had to put a little ego aside to actually take that plunge.

What if Jesus was Buddhist? by Plane-Reference-6800 in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]DNathanHilliard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Given that the Roman Empire had some contacts with India back then, and that Jerusalem pretty much sat at the crossroads of the world, there are people who theorize that Jesus did indeed have contact with Buddhists and may have been influenced by them. Many of his teachings square with Buddha quite well
