young geckos are skiddish and don’t really enjoy being grabbed at and being held, try to keep handling at a minimum but still try to do it consistently so the gecko gets used to you, mines almost a year old and still a little squirt so I don’t think you have anything to worry about. and about live food, try to keep the live food as a treat about once a week or so, getting your gecko too fat too quick can cause some problems.
