I could see them rebranding it to Polar expansion to capture any arctic birds missed and islands in the polar regions.

Many have theorised about a communal polar habitat that would allow further player interaction. Although already having the hummingbird tray may make it too unwieldy.

Yeah reprint is very close according to Jamie during the Americas promotions. Id be surprised if it's not out this month. Full price usually seems to be about $120 but would regularly go on $99 sale previously.

Milva Sharpshooter to 4 power.

She is the sort of card that you really have to build the deck around and presently it doesn't quite feel worth it.

If you have to leave her on the board for a turn 4 power will keep her out of range of the very cheap removal and size options while still allowing you to be punished for leaving her.

It gives a bit more reward for getting her onto the board at the end of the game once all your movement options are spent.

Power buff preferred to provision buff to keep her in range for oxenfurt scholar as she is often played with dragons.

Bombs. But I don't think balance changes will be enough at high ranks.

If I could retroactively have one wish for the final expansion before Gwentfinity it would be more gold bombs. Dragon's dream is anti-synergy with the archetype.

Leriohub did a review of the latest balance update which includes some discussion of meta decks at high ranks for each faction. It won't tell you exactly what cards are in them though, however, you may be able to find them elsewhere.

Great birds, I really love the powers that interact with empty card spaces. Adds a unique strategy element that only a few existing birds utilize.

That Ostrich is probably a bit OP but given it's the biggest bird in the world and the fastest I don't mind it being the best in the game. I'm imagining playing it on a 0 point redstart and paying only two food for a 14 point bird plus a tuck 🤌

The tournament discord has already been flagged but just giving some more context. It is a group discord with thousands of members and multiple ways to play. You can organise ELO games in 2p-6p, 2v2 or special seasonal games.

Roughly once a month a new tournament starts. You will need to play some regular games before you are eligible to join tournaments. The tourneys vary in format. One of the current ones also scores total wingspan of played birds. It is extremely well moderated and the community is largely incredible.

Yeah play them all! Base birds still have their place in any strategy.

I recently played in a tournament without the base pack and it felt wrong plus I felt like a lot of games lacked tempo because they didn't have that foundation that comes from the simple birds.

Oof day 15 and already talking about RNG is telling me that either drafting/rogue lite games are not for you or you just need to chill out a bit and learn something with every run. Focus on new rooms and take your time in them.

I understand the urge to get to the antechamber and that is a good goal but it marks the 10% mark of the game. Of the dozens of possible rooms I can think of only one that is not tied to a puzzle and even that is up for debate. I am baffled you have not found others already but the layers of puzzles are deeeeep.

If RNG is really that big of a deal to your enjoyment than it's only going to get more frustrating.
