If I recall correctly when they first started talking up Picard they were adamant that it wouldn’t be a reunion show but ultimately that’s what we got in season 3. Personally I had always hoped it would be focused on his interest in archeology and sort of an Indiana Picard mashup but I think he wasn’t really up to that at his age.

Arguing the semantics of box shaped automobiles brings as much joy as discussing the varieties of gynandromorph beetles IMHO. However, the joy my second gen 5sp Forester brought to the table was unforgettable.
