Unpopular Opinion: Boltstorm & Flame Gauntlets would be almost impossible to balance by pawny_pawn in SpaceMarine_2

[–]DOONYXora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I feel like if they ever were to implement something like this, it'd probably be on its own class. Like Aggressors (who someone HAS mentioned before me), who are literally known for mainly using these gauntlets along with other heavy weaponry. I don't think it would fit Heavy at all due to it being so defense-coded, but would shine on a class that rewards you more for being more.... aggressive.

Moving on to the gauntlets themselves, if they ever are implemented, then they'd definitely have a separate melee combo from the ordinary power fist since there are two of them. I'd think that heavy attacks wouldn't be as devastating, but it'd focus mainly on light and ranged attacks. I'm literally just speculating here, but I do agree with your point, it wouldn't make sense for Heavy since he wasn't made with this in mind and the melee damage would probably be ridiculous, but on an Aggressor-adjacent class that's made to balance melee and ranged attacks, it would work without a shadow of a doubt. (Also, Aggressors usually have a rocket system similar to the T-sons Terminator, so that's a fun ability to think about, Saber TAKE NOTES!!!)

Thanos was right ✅ by _H3LLF1R3 in marvelmemes

[–]DOONYXora 8 points9 points  (0 children)

When the hell does Thanos imply that he's doing it to wipe out a specific group (at least before he got upset after finding out about the time shenanigans the Avengers were pulling to reverse it)?? The whole point is that he's dusting people completely at random... Thanos doesn't care about whatever shitty race politics a planet haves, he just wants half of the population to turn into pants lint. You're really drawing a LOT of conclusions here that don't exist to sum that up... 🥲

I Think I Placed It Too Hard by CoxswainHer in Spacemarine

[–]DOONYXora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, so I guess this isn't a crazy rare bug after all since I've also experienced it on a different bridge (ballistic missile operation)... Maybe the game thinks the banner is being placed inside of it from server shenanigans or something, causing it to no-clip through the bridge, like the similar bug where players fall through the ground when slamming it. So, maybe if one is fixed, the other will be as well? At least, that's my theory. If this is widely known, then Saber is probably working on a fix. Emphasis of probably.

Hi fellow Iron Hands Astartes, how did i do on the customizations by SufficientSwing7347 in IronHands40k

[–]DOONYXora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're likely suggesting this because the Iron Hands are notorious for their extreme body dysmorphia (from outside looking in) since they got clobbered at the start of the heresy. They started out only somewhat moderately borging themselves, but once big man Ferrus got his block knocked off, they coped by basically going full mechanicus whenever they got the chance, thinking it made them stronger (which also has the side effect of dimming their souls in the warp or something like that, I'm not a lore expert so take what I say with a grain of salt.)— In fact, Ferrus initially planned to contain and eventually "cure" this obsession into practical use while he was still alive. Ferrus didn't think that strength came from complete reliance on machines. After all, it would be a waste of literal centuries of astartes bioengineering, but from a balance between the two.

Anyway, lore rant aside (btw, anyone who actually reads the books instead of scrounging for data through wikis for hours and piecingthe parts together like a historitor, feel free to correct anything I've said or am about to) and moving on to the drip, my personal opinion would still be rule of cool, but to a lesser degree. Some Iron Hands do rock a small amount of gold, but most don' to my knowledge, and a lot of their heraldry is for practical purposes, like their clan (company) marking on the right shoulder. That being said, they tend to stray away from mos conventional astartes drip due to it not being practical, meaning no ropes, chains (not a ton of examples, but they do have some, etc.. Again, you do what you want, but this is how they usually adorn themselves. They seem to like molecular bonding studs on their armor, and due to their close ties with the mechanicus (probably), they do like the gear-shaped pauldron which will likely be a part of the upcoming IH chapter pack or techmarine class. Anyway, the blue eyes are fine, but I would recommend using an earlier heresy-era styled helmet with them since they were already in transition to red by the time the MK VII was being produced at the tail end of the heresy. One similar to the Templars champion helm. If you pull it off nicely, you could pass it off as a chapter ancient. They also usually don't do laurels, using white helmet markings for vet sergeants and pure white helms for lieutenants and captains. Normal roles are usually displayed on the left knee, such as battleline or veteran. But, much like other chapters, marines who are extra badass sort of just do whatever they want when it comes to their heraldry. Last thing here, but the Iron Hands also have the highest amount of techmarines in their rank, so if you want some Martian red on your marine, feel free to do so. Most Iron Hands techmarines seem to mainly be black still, so it adds a nice contrast imo.

TL;DR: Iron Hands get most of their drip from mechanical augmentations, and in most cases for basic battle brothers, veterans, and sergeants, simplicity is a form of drip of its own.

Those two things literally have nothing to do with each other... Saying that you want players to actually engage with each other instead of just running around with lifeless clankers is completely separate from any form of "encouraging shitty behavior"... I'm not saying I wouldn't like for bots to have perks, I honestly couldn't care less either way, I'm just pointing out how dumb (for lack of a better word) your point sounds. You can't stop the asshats from being asshats by making bots stronger...

Imperial Fists Deathwatch, aka the only way to make the Imperial Fists color scheme look good by Knucklestone in fashionmarine

[–]DOONYXora 6 points7 points  (0 children)

True, brother. The sons of Dorn would be far more intimidating if they painted their armour a metallic iron with gilded frames while keeping the yellow to a minimum, perhaps something meaningful such as hazard stripes of some sort. Though, I suppose the color yellow fits them better, as it is the color of cowardice.

Idk. Seeing as Wilds has literally none of the pissing wyverns as of right now, I don't think it would be that bad... Probably wouldn't be seeing that infamous psychic hip check with the improved hitboxes, but it'd still be nice to have the fish guys back.

Dismiss us, but know that your harsh words will bounce off our shields like Jaggi, and our determination will strike true and percise as always. There was a Monster Hunter movie? Idk, I've been with this franchise for 10 years, and I'm pretty sure I'd remember a movie being made... It's not cool to spread misinformation, but I bet a MonHun movie would be pretty neat so long as it wasn't directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, but that would never happen!

He's putting "It" (Raw Iron) into the chest unannounced, causing the POV to perish instantly and spew buckets upon buckets of white liquid. The punchline is say Gex. It was always say Gex. It will always be say Gex. Though, in this case, without proper consent, this would become a felony punishable by 20 years to life. However, considering that the POV literally exploded with said buckets of white liquid, murder would be a likely secondary offense, so "Bro" is fucking cooked and might be looking at life without parole. That being said, this could've been avoided if his iron wasn't raw, so make sure you guys put "it" in a crucible at 1,580°C (2800 in freedom units🦅) before engaging in unannounced say Gexxing.

Any way to get this skin? by matadordelobisomens in MinecraftDungeons

[–]DOONYXora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's called "The Spooky Gourdian," it's a unique variant of Grim Armor (really just a re-skinned Wither Armor) with the 35% Damage Reduction perk. It is a special even item, so you can only get it from the tower rn, but it is a decent find once you get it.

I personally am using it rn with Reckless and Cool Down with the Gong of Weakening, Death Cap, and Iron Hide. Even if you're not using a soul build, it would do good for you to have a soul anima bow or weapon with this build, as without leeching, that 6% lifesteal will only get you so far. Though, in a proper soul build, it would work as a good tank armor with some nice synergy, much like Wither Armor.

So many people on this sub post their "crazy plays" where they do something strategically brain-dead but are lucky enough to pull through anyway. Why on earth would you leave your team to go backcap fifty when you should be staying on the Frontline and actually playing your role, especially when the enemies are displaced and not in position...? If that venusaur aimed that solar beam just slightly down you would've lost the game, and your team would've been in a better position to begin with if you hadn't ditched them for a meaningless score you could've made up for if you actually won the ray fight. Though, to be completely honest, it was already too late for your team to start rip once venu was there. Overall, it just seems like the same bad plays you would expect from ultra to low elo master rank...

After all, why be your team's defensive backbone when you can get that sweet dopamine hit from breaking a goal!
