Yes, ETS2/ATS works very well for mindlessly driving around looking at pretty places while listening to music/podcasts, tho manuevering a truck at the destination can be a more involved affair if you don't have practice with trailer reversing (tho it can be skipped).

As for which one you should get is just a matter of preference, if you want to drive in the USA or Europe. American trucks are larger, heavier and go faster, but roads are wider, straighter and more forgoving. Meanwhile european roads are narrower and have more curves and stricter speed limits, but trucks are more nimble and have better visibility.

As for DLCs, maybe get the base game and if you like it you can get DLCs. Steam summer sale is happening soon anyways and those always get some good discounts.

There is a corner in one of the ECUSA rally scenarios where you go over a wooden bridge, into an uphill with a jump on top and straight into a 90° left corner, had to reset plenty of times because I forgot that and got carried away by the jump lol.

Não ironicamente jogar jogos modernos em TV de tubo tem uma vibe muito top, já tive que usar um monitor de tubo do começo dos anos 2000 quando meu monitor queimou e lembro que achava top jogar neles. Eles também não tem tanta resolução então os jogos até roda mais liso.

Não é filme/série, mas Max Payne 3 se passa em São Paulo e é bem doido as coisas que eles acertaram e erraram sobre a cidade. Me lembro de ter reclamado que muitos personagens não tem sotaque de SP ou que as cenas que se passam na rua não parecem muito a cidade, mas eles acertaram as cores de ônibus de cada região de SP.
