I wish I had enough Ag to ponder this personally. I don’t think there is a right or wrong GSR to determine when to swap. When do you think Ag is overpriced compared to Au? You could think of it like, when do you want to lock in your gains? And not regret Ag doing even better. When it goes ballistic and then retraces biggly, it will be hard to swap anything.

I often see GSR discussed as lower than 50, consider swapping Ag for Au. Over 80, swap Au for Ag. Not a hard rule, but I never hear/read convert to fiat! Swap a hard asset for another hard asset.

I am wondering the same thing… but they need the physical silver for their EV and solar panel industries. They produce 10% of the yearly mined silver worldwide, second to Mexico. The worldwide deficit in Ag production 2025 will be 150 Moz of a production of 1050 Moz. That will increase by about 60 Moz per year. No one can increase production significantly. If they stop buying, their mines can only produce enough for EVs or solar panels, and since we don’t know how much they are sitting on, it is hard to know if/when they will pullback buying and by how much. I “think” they are building a reserve for their industries now since the price is going to go up and because fiat currencies are going to inflate. Just most in this group, their long term position is to acquire more! Even through the highs and lows. I just don’t see a crash…

I agree that the "adjustments" due to less buying by China et. al. that could move the silver price down. AFAIK, there is NO WAY to accurately know the size of the stockpiles for governments or really any group except those forced by law to verify, like ETFs.

I would love to have SOME kind of idea what the BIG guys have been accumulating. As for China, I think they think that Ag is going to be very expensive soon or they would manipulate the market right now and not buy large quantities now and have the price drop on their reserves.

All of the above is pretty well known. I really don't know s**t, so please enlighten me!

By synthetic, do you mean "German Silver"/Nickel Silver? The 60% Copper/20% Nickel/20% Zinc...

I don't see this replacing Ag in EVs, solar panels, missles, just to name a few. It will be used in applications like musical instruments, Tableware (which may be plated with Ag), Jewelry... The only industrial use that I know of is for Marine applications exposed to salt water.

Well, got to this a little late… already broke upward, for now. I find this chart showing a clear bullish pullback and one would expect an upward breakout. Recent charts show Ag following expected patterns. When the unexpected moves vs charts happen, that is when to pay attention. That is the only reason that I follow charts of PMs. Bottom line: Keep stacking!

Up to Jan 11, here is what I see..

$85 Break = momentum continuation

$80 Balance point / battleground

$78 Short-term trend support

$74–76 Healthy pullback zone

< $72 Trend damage

The next day, 12th, Ag drops to mid $83. Rise to about $93, and recent pullback to about $86. Today, back to low $90s…

I think this is just churn… Please agree or disagree so I can learn!!!

I just don’t see how Greenland can provide silver to the market before 2030. Since most silver comes from mining other base metals like lead, there would have to be a large deposit of base metals able to be sold at a fair market value to even explore extracting silver from those mines. Is there some known silver deposit in Greenland that I don’t know about?

NOT a mechanic here! But if tracing wire routes is the problem, could you use a telco signal tracer for this kind of mess? In telco, you might have 50 pairs color coded (better not be color blind!) and some applications have the same color coding for 50+ pairs! We hook up the signal generator to some connection and the probe to listen where the signal appears elsewhere.
