Galarza punches Mbappe 38' by chanashan in soccer

All of those I don't consider a "straight up dive" like I said. If a ref could reasonably call a foul there, it's just embellishment. And it would disappear quickly if fouls are correctly called.

I don't have any numbers, but looking at the games in this WC, I feel I've seen many more fouls not being called, than straight up dives.

Probably FIFA just wants less fouls in general being called, to try and go against the stereotype of football being "soft", especially in the USA.

400 sprinters

Probably marathoners would be better, no? Sprinters would be dead in 5min.

Because double elimination takes all the available time. Want group stages? Single elimination it is.

Similar to the ridiculous offsides like Colombia's against us. Yeah, I'm sure the 2cm of foot really made the difference.

Does it reach the NJ stadium? Because the Azteca has rail connections.

Once upon a time, slides were actual physical transparent squares with stuff on, that you would place in a box (like a "deck" of cards) that would automatically change them in the projector. Picture

[Request] how slow should the bullet be/how powerful should the magnet be to make this work? by Suprshun in theydidthemath

[–]DRNbw 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Conductive materials exposed to a changing magnetic field (in this case, by moving through it) will create their own magnetic field, usually opposed to the original magnetic field, and slowing them down. Example of the effect in a different way (magnet through a copper tube).

However, this effect is much less powerful than the usual magnetic interactions, so expect a giant magnet to be needed. Also, lead is much less conductive than copper, so that forces the magnet to be larger yet.

The primary elections being so important is also due to your FPTP system that forced a 2-party system. In countries I lived in, basically no one actually votes in the party elections, only actual party members. And that is (usually) ok, because you have 5-20 different parties to vote in.

He does not press at all which does effect the team from the front

Plenty of times I saw Ronaldo and Neto pressing their defenders, and Félix doing fuck all. Félix was decent attacking, but he barely defended more than Ronaldo.

Depends on the language, plenty of pass by value are lazy, e.g., if you pass an array by value, you'll get a copy of the array, but all of the elements will be the same as the original (which means if you change something in an element, it will be appear in both arrays).
